Beware of Break testing insurance fraud
mightysaints replied to mightysaints's topic in Motoring Forum
Oops was was a bit early in the morning when i started this thread, can the mods change the title. -
My daughters boyfriend was the victum of a fraud accident last night in town. At the lights by Solent Uni he was behind 1 car, when the lights went Green the car in front pulled away and then for no reason at all decided to break hard. Daughters boyfreind then went into the back of this car. There is no damage to his car so it must of been a very light bump. As soon as he and the lady driver got out of the car she called the Police and said he was drunk. The Police turned up tested him but it was neg nothing came up. She then complained of neck hurting as well as her 2 passengers. It was obvious what had taken place was part of an attempt to extract monies from a forth comming insurance claim but the Police were only interested in the accident, she made the call and i belive this was to deflect any blame to her for breaking for no reason. I have seen this up North but now it looks like its spreading down here. Now before i get shot down in flames the said lady driver was from an Ethnic Minority, i have a friend who works as an insurance investigator looking into massive fraud car claims as its a big industry going on here. He tells me that Garages,Doctors and the legal eagals from a certain background are all involved and it is very organised.

Weirdest thing you've done whilst wasted
mightysaints replied to buctootim's topic in The Muppet Show
Got wasted whilst working in Penzance,Cornwall, we had been staying at the same digs for weeks but went home weekends. On this particular weekend we decided to stay in Penzance same digs. Unfortunitly we had to move rooms as our old room had been booked up by an OAP coach trip from Plymouth. Got up in the middle of the night, went for a leak, walked back to the room, got undressed as it was very hot Summers eve and propmtly went to get into bed.............Suddenly i sobered up as a very large woman appox 70 odd screamed and shouted out rape as i had walked into my old room. Took a while to explain to the landlady and the old woman but they decided not to call the old bill -

Got wasted on a works night out in Newbury, got back to the hotel , key in the door but could not push to get it open, promptly fell asleep by the door only to find out when i woke up in the mornning it was a pull not a push door. -
I will wait and see if i get a response from Bestbuy and then go from there.

The camera sat in its box for the last 6 months, used approx 5 times, never been banged or dropped. The outside case looks as good as the day it was purchased.

I have sent an email the Andrew Harrison and will let you know how i get on. The last response ref the 30 days really p**sed me off as this is clearly not true in relation to British law. I will not let this go.

We brought a Samsung ST550, it has a small LCD front screen, this has stopped working and looks like it has developed an internal crack. The camera is in AI condition and never been dropped etc as i showd them in the shop you could see that it was in very good nick. They tried to say that if you put to much pressure on the front you could crack the front screen. This is rubbish as the screen is actualy burried within the camera. I belive the fault is as a result of internal pressure within the camera itself or is just a duff unit. The seller was Bestbuy, anyone know the email address of the CEO as i realy want to take this further.

I am up with a fight with a big retail white goods company. We purchased a digi camera back in May last year, hardly been used but it has delevoped a fault so i thought i might be able to get a replacement or an equivelent as some shops want to keep your custom. Any here is the latest response from the supplier which i think is legaly wrong anyway. Please let me know what my possition is as the goods are just out of the years garantee but i thought the European law said you could get more and also the latest statement about 30 days must be wrong as i always thought that the buyer has a contract with the seller and not the manufacturer I'm sorry you are unhappy with our reply, but we are unable to offer you a replacement of your product bought in May 2010. We only replace faulty products with the first 30 days of purchase on this type of product, after this time it would be up to the manufacture to decide if you qualify for repair or replacement under their warranty. I therefore refer you directly to Samsung on 08457267864 please call them quoting the serial number of the back of your product. Its the principle that is getting to me and the way this company has had 4 different people in their responses to me so no customer case care and just the usual response. This company is new to the UK and have always said they will look after customers.

Travellers at Dowds Farm in Hedge End.
mightysaints replied to Made in Southampton's topic in The Lounge
How are they supposed to leave a clean site without sanitation and other basic facilities?, well if they did not rip out the copper then they would be able to leave it clean but as in most perm sites they take anything of any value which they did at all the site in and around Wiltshire and Somerset.. I just wish the liberal elite would wake up. Untill you have to deal with the travelers which i have you have no idea what a bunch of nasty people they are. Ever noticed on TV when they go after dodgy builders the roofers and gardeners etc are always travelers. So in a nut shell they rip of OAP's proven fact, they trespass and destroy peoples land fact, they steal fact, they leave crap where ever they have been fact.Involved in major drug crime Fact, Defend that. -

They were parked up again last week on the Botley Grange campas, broke down fencing etc but were kicked off within 24hrs. Bet it takes the local council longer than that. If its the same lot that were camped in Stoneham Lane be carefull as they destroyed and ripped up recently planted trees, dumped a stolen car in the stream and ripped up the newly laid wooden decking along the river walk and dumped the usual builders rubble. My parents were approached by them and told to get off the land which is public. I think of myself as a fair and reasonable person but please can we just get rid of these scum once and for all. -
Professor Barrett did my knee re build 9 years ago and i still ski off piste every year. If it was not for him i would be a cripple now. The guy is a hero and works wonders in the NHS.

Pompeys bins i beleive were out sourced, yet again the private sector working well with no problems. Time some southampton services were out sourced

A mate went to a corporate event last year or so. Boycott was on his table. Told some great storys but when someone came over from another table and asked for his autograph he declined saying that my mates table guests was for him to look after anyone else could bugger off.

The general public are starting to get pretty fed up with the Public workers now. Any major distruptions are just going to cause more resentment. Waste is indemic in the Public sector, i was untill recently involved in the Schools projects that got canned, the meetings were a joke, from the Private sector we would have approx 3 to 4 of us (Project Managers,QS and CDM etc) The public sector would turn up in their droves and we could easly have 20 of them in the meeting. Most of these guys and girls did not have a clue about budgets and time scales and just turned up at site meetings to make a milage claim and have a jolly out of the office.
-
Us private sector workers have been hit big time but we have rolled up our sleaves got on with it and have been given an indiction of a pay rise soon to match the reduction i took last year. The public sector are realy starting to get on my wick. Most of them would not last long in the Private sector. I have worked with a few that have crossed over and they don't last very long. Constantly complainning about hrs, lunch breaks, always off ill and wanting more holidays etc.

Brand new this week still in its box Microsoft X-Box 360 headset. Brought an X-Box and then purchased a headset not realising that the X-Box came with one £12

Simple fact is do not employ them to do any work. They will soon p**s off if theres no money to be had. Just heard the plod are getting them off Stoneycross in the New Forrest. How much is this all costing. Also perm sites will not work as they will be destroyed. Anyone who says we should have these sites well if so would you want these scum next to you.

Lancasters were used in the Dam raid not Wellingtons, the Lancs were designed by Roy Chadwick, there is a Blue Plaque on my sons friends house in Chessel Ave Bitterne, Chadwick also had a hand in designing the Vulcan. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roy_Chadwick -
Fords paid them £50k to move, the exchange was done and then the cheeky gits asked for more cash to fill up Diesel. They broke down the fencing on the land at Botley Grange that they are on now. Personaly i hate them, they are not proper travellers. Security has been stepped up around the offices but i bet the copper piping on the outside AC units will vanish soon. We had a lad badly burnt trying to nick the copper out of a big mains board on a remote telecom site a few years back . They even tried to take NTL as it was then to court saying it was our fault he got hurt. Untill the bleeding hearts brigrade have these poeple next to them and see what they are like things will never change.

Just had the plod in our office (Botley Grange) to say keep an eye out for our property etc as the travellers that were on the land at Stoneham are now parked up at the community hall land by Botley Grange. I have nothing against true Gypsys but having seen the destruction and mess they have just done to the land in Stoneham these poeple are not true Gypsys. Please do not employ them to carry out any ground works. Remmeber its your council tax is paying to clear up after them. What might Look like it A cheap job is not as its your council that has to clean up after this lot. The council gave them portaloos up at Stoneham, they stole them, new trees ripped down and the walkway by the river has had all its timber ripped up and burnt. Piles of rubble and nappies etc everywhere. This was a nature site that has been very badley damaged
