Aren't we home to Dortmund at some point?
-
I hope it's Tuchel. I will be surprised if he hasn't been interviewed.
-
Just wait until Chris Hughton is announced as manager they'll all come flooding back.
-
I think you are spot on, I think the issue is that Shaw & Lallana haven't submitted official transfer requests as yet (as far as we know) It will be of benefit to saints if they do as they are bound to have clauses in their contracts entitling them to significant percentages of any transfer fees agreed if they haven't requested to leave. I think it is the right time for Lallana to leave, as much as I'd us to keep him. I don't think it will do Shaw any harm to stay another year but we need a manager to pursued him of that fact.
-
In reality though it is the players who decide. Once the transfer requests are in that will be that. I do have faith that we will receive the correct fees though, and that we will re-invest substantially. . There were times in the past when this wasn't the case. That is what I took from the interview yesterday.

I think the time is right for Lallana to leave (as much as I hate to admit it) he is approaching his peak years both in performance terms & earning potential. It's now or never for him. I think that he is as good as gone. The stumbling block is this 25% entitlement that Bournemouth have. £20M is a fair offer but not enough for us to sell if we are only receiving £15M. A club who can offer cash plus player(s) may be preferable from our point of view. Shaw is more difficult as it is his potential value that has to be judged as much as his current worth. Plus I'm not sure if he is mature enough to deal with all the expectation & fame etc that comes with playing for Man U. If he was my son I would tell him to stay put for another season and look at the options next year. Gut feeling is that they will both leave as well as Morgan.

Agree brilliant summary.
-
If they have agreed terms with Spurs & given MP permission to speak to them I think they should announce this. I can understand them not commenting on speculation or even offers received for players but in matters of fact, particularly when the story is all over the media I think they need to comment in some way.

Tuchel would be a great choice, he has done a great job at Mainz producing results, playing good football & on a budget. The Leverkusen job is no longer available so I think he would be gettable. http://www.dw.de/rule-breaker-tuchel-leads-mainz-into-a-league-of-their-own/a-17503661

I've heard that we have been negotiating with Under Armour (about 6 weeks ago), any one else heard the same?

I like it. Plus it is now part of our tradition. The earlier club badges very rarely appeared on match shirts only blazers.

What the hell is the matter with the Daily Mail ???

We might not have a choice. I think £20m is a fair price. The fact is we paid too much for Osvaldo & Ramirez if we indeed paid £15m (in hindsight of course). I don't think the club will be actively looking to sell but if Lallana puts in a transfer request it will be hard to keep him. If a club of our size wishes it's players to commit to long contracts in order to guarantee receiving large transfer fees then it has to be seen to be fair when players reach a certain level & wish to leave. I will be gutted though if it happens but won't begrudge him his opportunity. -

I think Lallana will leave this summer. I'd imagine we'll get around 20M. As much as I'd love him to stay I think the time is right for him to move on, he's 25 as good as he's going to get & deserves to play for one of the big four. I'd imagine he has a release clause in his contract. I wouldn't begrudge him a move. It makes no sense selling Shaw though. He has a lot of improving to do & his value will only rise. I don't think Shaw wants to leave at the moment. -
Arsenal want £10m Chambers - London Evening Standard
SNOWY replied to Lallana's Left Peg's topic in The Saints
McCarthy has played mainly at right back but has started to be used at Centre Back as well. He'll get more opportunities now Stephens is out on loan. Not sure of the formation today. I agree Chambers has massive potential. I think he could end up back in midfield where he has played mainly (prior to this season). He has so much drive & energy for such a big lad. Great time to be a Saints fan. -

Plus the £10M will be including "Add On's" I wouldn't be surprised to see either Clyne or Chambers leave (for the right money) as I hear U21's McCarthy & Youngs are both highly rated by Saints staff. McCarthy may be converted to a Centre Back though. -

Good to have a bit of humour injected into the debate to go with all the vitriol. I'm surprised we haven't had Hitler's reaction to the news yet.. -

Apparently the new training complex is proceeding at "breath-taking speed" How dare she want a say in the running of her own business. Has Sibley been sacked yet? -
Golac is the best I've seen by some distance. But Golac arrived as an experienced international, Clyne is still improving.
