  1. If we can't afford to pay a player £15k a week, and we think someone might cough up a million quid for them then it makes absolutely no difference how good they are on a Tuesday night in Exeter. It doesn't fit your skewed view, but maybe, just maybe the decisions about players are being made for financial reasons rather than Lowe saying "I've decided so and so's a bit weak in the tackle, lets sell him". Alpine's back everyone....
  2. Like all conspiracy theories, this one about us buying Spiderman "for" Arsenal next season is a utter ******** and I don't care what any of the ITK dinlows on here might say in response. If Arsenal wanted to buy him, they would have bought him and loaned him out themselves. That is what they would have done. It's not like that is in any way difficult, and its not like Arse can't afford the £500k or whatever down payment we've lobbed in for Spiderman. Conspiracy theories are all jolly exciting until somebody sensible turns round and says "what's the point - why would Arsenal bother?". Beyond all that - the purchuse of MS is exactly what a club with our resources should be doing with our limited funds. Buy players with potential and a sell on value. It's an absolute no brainer for me - why people are using this as a stick to beat the regime with I have no idea.
  3. Changed it for you. Footballers on £8-£12k a week (just the half a million quid in his sky rocket) don't get "treated like crap". Diddums. 30 games is enough of a chance to score some bloody goals, isn't it?
  4. Have I missed something, or did Saga score three goals in thirty games last season? How does that make him irreplaceable and how is it a disaster if we've shipped him out. Last time I looked three in thirty for a striker on £8-10k per week is rubbish.
  5. What chronic underachievement under a manager with pretty-pretty football principles who is then replaced by a good old fashioned no nonsense manager that hauls us into the play offs? Come in, Billy Davies;)
  6. He only played one season for them, in the Prem, when they were sh i te. Clueless.
  7. The revolution has begun.
  8. It never is, and it won't be all season. You have to pay for SaintsTV to get a Saints-slanted commentary on the internet. It's exclusive to them. If you don't want to pay, you have to whore yourself around BBC Radio Wales/West Midlands/Coventry etc etc every other week to get commentary, of course biased to the opposition. Or use that "matchlive" console thing that people put links up to every week.
  9. Amazing really. Anyone remember this time last year when this forum was going into meltdown when it looked like we might not sign Saga? Absolute uproar about how much of a disgrace it would be if we didn't etc etc etc. Saga is a classic example of a player that if we didn't sign him permanently people would be going on about him forever more as the person that could have taken us to the next level etc etc. Now? On your bike son.

Frankly this is brilliant news. Do you think anyone predicted Hull and Stoke to be promoted last season, and by the same token, big spending Leicester were right up there in the top six. I think we may surprise enough to be easily safe, but not quite enough to make anything like the playoffs. That said, we desperately need a good start because confidence is going to be fragile.
  11. Quite right, but still worth reinterating for clarification that the notion that "The day Lowe goes is the day that the doors of SMS open up again to lots of fans" is a load of of old pony. If five or six divs want to stay away because our howwible posh chairman, then fill your boots lads. But they are as unrepresentative as the overseas based wind up merchants on here praising Lowe to skys who, ironically enough, never seem to go to games either and just churn out drivel on here. Both sets of extreme fans, all ten of them, are as unrepresentative and irrelevent as each other.
  12. Apparently fans aren't allowed on the pitch while the game is on. I don't get how this can be enforceable? What's to stop people climbing over the tiny little wall, getting on the pitch and joining in. I don't get it.
  13. Which is fine and of course true. However someone saying they have decided to "feed their family and run their car" rather than pay five quid a year to come on here is frankly preposterous and worthy of mockery. It should work both ways - people can take their personal decision and not be judged, fine, but they don't take the decision and at the same time take up some ridiculous moral high ground as justification. I'll venture Fletch spent more than a fiver on his lunch today, and I doubt his children will go hungry as a result.
  14. I'm sure your family and your car will really feel the benefit of that 10p per week per year you have just saved. Not sure how your web development company makes any money if you subscribe to the belief that everything on the internet should be free. So all the companies you work with get your time and services for free, right? Or....maybe not? Well done mods on the comeback. I'm not paying my £5 until the user names/avatars are shifted back over to the left, so you can read all the threads without usernames cluttering up the place....hop to it;)
