  1. I’m not sure any survived a ten point hit did they? Can’t entirely remember. I’d worry about us hitting (say) 46/7/8 actual points in our first season back.

......a little thing called possession stats. I went to that game and keeping the ball for what felt like hours on end was something of a novelty and quite exciting. We learnt. We didn't trounce them but we should have.
  3. He will lead us to the Promised Land.
  4. I wasn't sure what happened. There were, like, loads of white streaks in the sky. Next thing I know I wake up and I seem to have spent five hundred quid on Microsoft products.
  5. how many league games this season have we not conceded at least three?
  6. We just need to close the game out now.
  7. I know. Shoot Rudakabana in head this morning and that helps get those law abiding citizens exactly how many medical appointments they crave?
  8. This is an argument from you for a significant increase in social security and welfare spending, and an argument for a significant increase in the minimum wage and workplace rights, and an argument for a huge increase in NHS funding. And big changes to the tax model to facilitate this spending that law abiding citizens crave for in this country. This is what you're saying, isn't it?
  9. I'm not anticipating much activity at all, especially as it will be pretty pointless. I would be absolutely amazed if we signed yet another Centre Back so don't get your hopes up.
  10. Feels like delusion. That would be winning 3 more games absolute minimum and I cannot see those games. 3 wins plus 5 draws = 20 points. That's half of our remaining games we'd have to get something from. Even if we win on Saturday (the trip to Southampton used to be a bogey ground for Newcastle) I still don't think we're getting to 20.
  11. If some of you demonstrated just a little bit of gratitude occasionally then maybe more information would be forthcoming.
  12. Not really no. We couldn't afford him and he wasn't going to join another Championship club at that point in his career.
  13. πŸ˜‚ That's one for the teenagers.
  14. That YouTube further up this thread is describing him as "The Complete Footballer" which sounds amazing. Well done Saints what an absolute bargain πŸ‘ πŸ‘ πŸ‘Œ πŸ™Œ πŸ†πŸ†πŸ†πŸ€²
  15. Well, yeah. I'm still not sure what you are complaining about over the outcome we have got to. Even the timing of the move (we haven't had to wait until midnight on the last day) is good. Don't loan him out because he might come back means what? Just leave him here to rot? What weve got is all as good as we could hope for really.
  16. If I'm honest I can't work out what point you're trying to make, apart from making out we are somehow the victims or been done over by another club, which we're not and we haven't been. From what I can see it's win win for all involved now. We don't want him, they do. He can score goals in the Championship and that can to build his confidence back up. If he does that he's quite likely to get a permanent transfer thete or, if they decide not to, we end up with a player with proven Championship goalscoring pedigree back with us in the Championship next season. If he doesn't stay with us we could flog him to some other Championship side. I'm not really sure what else you wanted to happen in this scenario.
  17. .....but on exactly those assumptions he could score a hatful for us in the Championship next season.
  18. If you look at it as his debut which I'm pretty sure it wasn't.
  19. Albert Grønbæk is the missing piece of the jigsaw.
  20. The flip in attitude we've seen with that poster is pretty amazing. Suddenly playing dreadfully and losing are bad now. His standards have got remarkably so much higher since his fucking hero was binned off.
  21. Armstrong and Archer in the same team seems pointless to me. And I would have played three actual centre backs (ie Wood) as we have their Wood to deal with. That said, worrying about our first eleven feels academic. We can't beat this opposition I'm sorry to say. Prove me wrong ladsssssss
  22. How many times are you planning on posting the same thing?

Yet again no sell on fee for us πŸ˜ͺπŸ˜ͺπŸ˜ͺπŸ˜ͺ😭😒😭😭
  24. The thing that makes no sense whatsoever is the value that the Musk-ites and the populists and the opportunists are putting on a "public enquiry". If back on, say. August 1st 2024 Kier Starmer had announced a full public enquiry into Grooming Gangs there is absolutely zero way that Musk or Rupert Lowe or Guido Fawkes or GB News or all these other divs would have been dancing in the streets about what a great move that was, well done Kier great job. At best they wouldn't care much and at worst they would just say it's all just a platform for an establishment cover up. Years of chat and a report that pushes action into the long grass, another pointless government talking shop, jobs for the boys and a whitewash. As we know, the last government did next to nothing with the output of the last enquiry. If people really think a future enquiry is going to result in lots of brown people plus "do-gooder" social workers/evil council staff/other people they don't like are all going to get banged up, humilated, lined up and shot etc etc then they are going to be disappointed. Post Office enquiry - bad people banged up so far: zero. Maybe come 2027 there might be some criminal cases. The solutions to the problems in these areas are far to complicated for the twitterati to ever truly care about solving. All I can see is a load of opportunist posturing from people pretending that it's only them that care about child abuse.
