This is the greatest era in our history mate, so you need to pipe down and give thanks.
  2. Are you on smack? We do not need "at least 4 wins more". Maybe three or four points to make the play offs. And we've got 8 games to get them. So we could not win another game and still qualify. If you look at recent seasons we may already have enough points today. We will be in the play offs.
  3. Cone on. Come on. We need a leader We need a leader
  4. Not sure Steve Cooper is getting a better offer than us in year two in Championship. Especially now Rob Page is staying at Wales. Maybe Burnley and/or whoever else goes down this summer. WBA if their new owners want their own man. Maybe Celtic or Rangers. I'd say we are bang on the kind of job for Steve Cooper could conceivably get.
  5. You can see why Man United wanted our Director of Football.
  6. We've got two games in hand so
  7. Whiskey, anyone?
  8. Someone will win this.
  9. Now that Wilcox has fucked off, can we start pumping it forward, getting in amongst it and sticking it in the mixer for the big man?
  10. Aribo miles better than Smallbone on this showing. Brilliant stuff Saints.
  11. 83% mate. Piece of piss.
  12. SOUND THE SHOEHORN I repeat SOUND THE SHOEHORN
  13. We will win today. Hull will beat Leeds. And at the end of the season we finish fourth.
  14. People posting things they don't believe just for April Fools kicks is childish and immature.
  15. I think Russell Martin is by far the best manager we have ever had in our entire history.
  16. If they win their game in hand* they would go top and the title still within their own hands, despite the dreadful run they've been on. That is testament to how runaway they were at that time. In contrast we were never, ever in the running for the title then, or now. Or ever this season.
  17. Isn't it funny that in every one of these scenarios, we always win both games in hand. Always. If our game in hand was a home tie against mid table Middlesbrough it would be absolutely unanimous between the scenario boys that would be a nailed on win, 3 points no bother. It's irrelevant what happens tomorrow. Ipswich can beat us four nil and within two hours of the final whistle there will be posts like the one above saying "plenty of twists and turns to come, we'll win our two in hand and only be x points behind etc etc etc". Lads, we're finishing fourth. Maybe, maybe, third. But not really. Fourth.
  18. Oh we can, it's just that it will make no real difference to our season either way.
  19. No higher than 13th in L1 with MK Dons and 10th with Swansea. Nowhere near the play offs any time. Defensive record at Swansea was absolutely appalling. We are much weaker than the sum of our parts this season, because of the manager. Next season we will have weaker "parts". So let's see. Still perfectly possible for us to nick promotion at Wembley though. Let's hope we do it.
  20. That's not really play off specific, though. It's just generally try and improve things we're weak at, which is fine. "Look after an injured player" is not actually doing anything new whatsoever. I agree with you, it's the play offs for us. Maybe practice penalties like mad?
  21. I know this nonsense is going to go on until is completely mathmatically impossible but honestly. We are not going to finish above two of Ipswich/Leeds/Leicester. Even if we beat all three of them in the "more valuable" single games. If we can't win a home match against mid table make weights when we really need to then we ain't going up automatically. All about the play offs now.
  22. I reckon we would have won if instead of Che Adams up front we had the guy in the shark costume.
  23. And we're definitely sure that this is so much better than the 100 years of mediocrity Saints fans have had to suffer up to the appointment of Russell Martin?
  24. Clubs wait until they are playing us next before they appoint their new manager. Every new manager's first match is against us. Always.
  25. We're not going to be finishing fifth for exactly the same reasons we're not finishing second.
