Obvious and Outstanding not quite the same. Alan Ball was obvious and it worked brilliantly but he wasn't outstanding - he was managing Exeter City when he joined us and not that well. Still a genius appointment though. Pardew maybe as good as manager as we could get in L1 and Hoddle definitely was an outstanding candidate.
