  1. His argument is we have set the team up to constantly piss around with it. You are pretending this is allowing us to "break through the lines quickly" - 7 goals shows this isn't happening. He is saying that is results in us giving the ball away over and over again and in multiple cases conceding chances snd conceding goals. The matches we have all watched is showing this is happening. So unless you are saying that Russell Martin is not instructing the players at all, they're all deciding to play this way by themselves, then what is happening on the pitch is a result of the managers direction.
  2. No manager endorses "giving the ball away" so hardly an accolade.
  3. The fact that this has returned an entire seven goals this season is a real testament to this electrifying strategy. Oooh we "move through the lines" ever so quickly, don't we though.
  4. Fantastic stuff Huge well done to the team on the pitch especially Adam Armstrong.
  5. Absolutely home and dry now.
  6. We are never ever ever ever going to score.
  7. What goal was that then
  8. Jesus wept.
  9. Of course, the rest of us dins don't think the players have anything to do with it. Just awfully clever types like you. I wish I were smart like u is
  10. Thanks for confirming that if we win tonight your "it's not really about the manager" routine will take a back seat and would you believe it, it is thanks to the manager after all.
  11. Let's see how you and others hold that position if we've won by 5pm tonight.
  12. I'll enjoy the win sweetheart. Even more so now you've told me it will have nothing to do with our manager, we agree he is completely replaceable. It makes for a better world when folks agree 👍 👍 👍 🤝
  13. So if we win today you are saying it has pretty much fuck all to do with Russell Martin. Let's see how you and others hold that position if we've won by 5pm tonight.
  14. I think we can probably win today. All relegated teams win some games, they don't win zero. This is probably one we can and will. And then we can sit back and watch the open top bus parade "he's proved you all wrong" lap of honour of the Martinettes on here celebrating 4 points from ten games like it's some triumph of a managerial genius. Blackpool got 13 points from their first 10 Premier League games which is mainly why Ian Holloway was subsequently appointed the manager of Bayern Munich.
  15. Outside of this "Echo Chamber" Saints have won three games and are mid table in 11th place.
  16. The government did not pay employees directly, the businesses claimed it. Employees are a business so your distinction is telling. If you're going to pretend that the only help business got was "loans" then fine but it's not true.
  17. Furlough £96billion. Not loans.
  18. £22bn in grants paid out between March 2020 and March 2022. Does not include Furlough to cover wages.
  19. Nope. Loads of business got grants that did not need to be paid back at all. The £10k grant springs to mind immediately.
  20. Russell Martin will be aiming far higher than Sporting Lisbon bEcAuSe vInCEnT kOmPaNy
  21. Anyone would think that no manager has got promoted from the Championship before. Is Chris Wilder going to be Europe any time soon? Aidy Boothroyd? Steve Cooper? Rob Edwards?
  22. People on this forum are on another planet. If any old manager getting promoted from the Championship was enough to get an elite level managerial role then Neil Warnock would have got the Juventus job and Scott Parker would be manager of Barcelona today. Kompany and Maresca are nothing like Russell Martin FFS.
  23. Millwall qualified for the Uefa Cup for being losing FA Cup finalists in the mid 2000s.
  24. What kind of other club in what division are you talking about?
  25. Will be a perfect stage for David Brooks to really show what he can do.
