Chelsea 0-1 Saints - Match Thread
Behind Enemy Lines replied to Midfield_General's topic in The Saints
God willing we won’t concede in the second half. Then I can punch my badge and shout a lot of expletives. -
Sounds a good plan, but…. Gloac’s Cunning Stunts, Red and White Army We hate Pompey Clap clap clap clap, doesn’t feel right.

Nik Naks Skampi ‘n’ Lemon. Tastes like ‘yer mum, but knows how to run a football club.
-
NJ mentioned it over a week ago, that’s what I read on here. And even after that, people were still questioning why he wasn’t picked. Things get lost on these threads sometimes. I can’t point you to the thread or date though sorry. I just know I read about his injury here and the club didn’t want him playing through pain or injections.

You realise you only have half-time and limited windows per game to make subs? You need, sometimes, to change more than one at a time or you can’t use all available subs.

Quick, get Kane down here to practice taking penalty’s. That’ll get rid of the drone.
-
Has he signed yet?

Southampton 0-1 Newcastle League Cup Semi Final 1st Leg
Behind Enemy Lines replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
For those wanting to fly up or expect the club to subsidise aircraft; you won’t be able to fly back that night to Southampton airport. Unless someone can organise an airport opening extension, if that’s possible there. A lot of airports you can’t get an extension because of licensing purposes. -
Thank god.

Middle name is Everton. Lazy journalism 😂

The only team to beat a team managed by Pep Guardiola in a domestic cup quarter final.

Nathan Jones, Jones Culling Nathan Jones Nathan Jones, Nathan Jones, get out now. To the tune of Dr Jones by Aqua
-
Jones IN for cup games, OUT for league games? Genius thinking 😂
-
Cheese and onion toastie. The proper one that’s about 450°c inside, but you just have to bite into it as you can’t wait. Still less painful than watching Saints.
-
I don’t think making subs at half time counts towards the total number of ‘times’. I may be wrong though.
-
I don’t think his performance today warrants him getting a cheeky hand job!
-
Not the exception. Didn’t Lovren (might have been someone else!) that went off at half time due to the abuse he got?
-
Wilson will never come on and score.
-
You think he can read?! 😂

What is the best goal you've ever seen live at a Saints game?
Behind Enemy Lines replied to tunit's topic in The Saints
Saw some screamers from Le Tiss at the Dell and St Mary’s. Sadly I can’t remember now which ones I was there for and which ones I’ve only seen on the screen. So to be definite that it was a goal is was watching live at the stadium, I would say Osvaldo against city. Was right in front of me for the perfect view. -
They were both offered contracts. Alex accepted, Forster turned it down. So, nobody backed the wrong horse. You can lead a horse to the contract table….

Do you want Nathan Jones to Manage Southampton Football Club?
Behind Enemy Lines replied to Rivers's topic in The Saints
It’s not what I said. I don’t know the players involved It was said by a known ITK on here that SR had a striker and attacking player purchase sanctioned, but Semmens tried to be clever, penny pinched, and missed out. No need for the passive aggressive post either. -

HOW MANY TIMES DOES IT HAVE TO BE SAID. SR HAD SANCTIONED THE PURCHASE OF A STRIKER BUT SEMMENS PENNY PINCHED (WHEN HE WAS GIVEN THE FUNDS BY SR) AND MISSED OUT ON TWO SIGNINGS. -
It’s getting quite tedious the amounts of speculation that he may/may not go, depending on the next result, or the next two results. SR are running a multi million pound business, in the biggest football league in the world. They know NOW*, if Ralph is here for the long term or not. If he is, then individual results won’t make any difference short term, although a few massive defeats over a few games might make them change their minds and rush to get someone in. If he’s not in their long term plans, then they will be searching, or have now found the replacement, and the timing when this will be done will already be known. Of course they can still sack him after a win. The past 10’s of games this, and last season, will be enough justification. *My speculation 😂
