Jeremy Doku only makes the bench for Rennes this evening in a Coupe de France match against Olympique Marseille. Doesn't mean owt of course.

Romano had us in for him before, but we signed DCC. Lacroix is meant to be a real talent who Arsenal are also monitoring. Would be an upgrade on Salisu who I like and think could improve over time but has been quite erratic and lucky to get away with a few errors in recent games.

Was a superb goal. He was pretty poor today overall, have seen him play much better than that. He had a real purple patch last season and there would have been a lot of people looking at him. His missus is a footballer too and was on the bench the other night for Sweden ladies. Coventry have a few players that could possibly make the step up. Callum O'Hare in particular, who missed out today due to a hamstring injury, but rumours are flying he could be on the move.

Saints have looked superb in the second half. So many positives, especially Aribo, and - incredibly - some decent decision making from Djenepo.

We closed a game out. A game that felt like it lasted longer than the Apocalypse Now Redux. Clean sheet away, another goal for Danny Ings, and three points. What's not to like, other than the fact it was so narcoleptic that I felt myself falling asleep at half nine on a Saturday. Up the Saints.
