Many of the sides people are choosing are nowhere near good enough to beat Arsenal away, even allowing for any rotation they do.

Should be no reason Cedric and Bertrand can't play on Wednesday and then again on Saturday at Palace. Both have had large rest periods already this season and both are substantially better than their respective backups (although McQueen looks good). But fully expect Martina, Yoshida and McQueen to play with Austin also being rested. Hard to tell what sort of team Arsenal will pick but whatever it is its obviously a tough game, especially as we won't play our best XI.

Cedric's best game for us possibly. Great win, still need to be much more clinical.

We don't really play the diamond very often anymore. Personnel and form/attributes of players going forward is the issue, not the system.

Its because we need him in the team to win games because we only have 3 PL quality CBs and one of them is getting older.

I make it 4 out of our 12 league games that we have scored from open play (including a gift at City). Sunderland, Swansea, West Ham, City. So basically the ****e teams plus a gifted goal. Quite lucky to be where we are in the league with a record that bad.

We have so many samey central midfielders who take the easy option. Tonight was crying out for someone in the middle to beat a man to create space, or run beyond the forwards but it was pass by numbers unfortunately.

Long looks bright. Already we are better than them but just poor at finishing.

From a brief bit of research the Prague team is mostly made up of experienced players with two early 20's lads but no complete rookies. They were crap at SMS though, if we don't score it will be a poor show.

From Puel's comments I would be quite suprised if Boufal starts, especially as Tadic likely to miss Sunday. Could see Redmond behind Jay and Long in the formation you describe but we have been more of a standard 4-3-3 rather than diamond for a while now.

This will obviously never happen due to wages. Why do people lap up this stuff?

Fonte not even travelled again. Won't have played a single minute in Europe I don't think. So reliant on VVD ability to play every minute of every game. Good to see Boufal is fine though, especially as no Tadic.

This is a load of drivel. Yesterday was the exception not the rule as to how we play. We are not clinical, but are not a defensive team. Full backs alone demonstrate that.
