will he get the freedom he gets here -
cann't get Reeds role in Charltons problems out of my mind, wish he would stay behind the scene, giving him more power could be a mistake

do not be down supporting saints is about the journey, good and bad, one good thing was in 84 when arguably we were the best side in the country there was no wrist slashing internet

next season is huge rarely in my 54 years of going to games have we had 2 good top flight seasons on the trot -
think it will because it means the premier league will not have to face the real problem, which is their attitude in the greed is good league
-
As a Chairman of a local Club I agree about cost of courses, but my problem is the best/better kids are gobbled up by Academy's from 8/9 so surely its down to the coaching at the professional clubs and not grass roots. We had 5/6 a side tournaments for 7/8/9/10 last weekend and had scouts from 4 professional clubs watching ,imo until the premier league insist that their academy's at 16 and upwards have 50% english boys then nothing will get better

Did you sell him any books Dunc, just think in the old days Askham and Co coming in the Dolly Diner to see what we thought
-
if he goes he goes if he stays he stays the club carried on after Channon left, lawrie left, bally left, steve williams left, chivers left(we even got frank saul)
-
Hate to have to do it but Victor over Jack Cork or Steve Davis, both who are better players but Victor fulfills the role which has led to so many clean sheets better than anyone else.
-
how come he was there? do the team not travel together these days

we really could do with a "Steve Moran" type striker coming through the Academy, lots of fullbacks and midfielders need the next Moran/Shearer/Wallace soon -
kick off time did not help, my eldest is a postie and could not go because of work.
-
the silent assassin Victor was back to near his best, hence why Cork and Davis played so well. Just sits in front of back 4 with real discipline and knows when to give a way a free kick. agree with trousers we missed him big time in the team
-
exactly i support southampton football club, whoever is wearing the shirts. over the last 54 years of support managers and players have come and gone and when they do everything is doom and gloom for a few days but then i go to SMS, or the Dell in the past, and i get on with supporting. i am just glad there was no such thing as the internet in the 60's,70's and 80's

bad news is my youngest is home from Uni, so going. Not seen us win at Home this season yet, and only score 1, in 6 attempts and no i cannot leave him behind because missus would kill me
-
get used to it

my only concern for the future was our new chairman's statement which basically said "to achieve our maximum potential" IMO without a massive cash boost we have achieved that already and should prepare for mid table at best in the future

thought all regulars were life long ticket holders or did that die at one of the recent admins
