Both Le Tiss and Lambert were very good but the 2 kicks with real pressure were Dave Peach's in FA Cup semi and Neil Ruddock against Newcastle

good read I am double the writers age and when i was his age I probably thought the same but as "alehouseboys" says we are only little compared to about 10 other clubs out of 92. funny thing is growing up in the era of terrace violence gave you the value to support your team, your city irrespective of the players, manager or board and that belief as stuck with me over the last 54 years of support and it is a value i have tried to install in my sons and friends.

whilst i may not like the constant sniping appears nothing wrong factually and the bit about academy and Reed supports what i heard, that he cannot handle ex-pros
-
not sure if i should be pleased by that or worried by it
-
Agreed sums up my understanding other than i believe players do not like him

personally i have never needed an incentive, my club and my city, good or bad. after saying that i was a "Branfoot Out" and "Lowe must Go" man and will have no problem expressing my opinion to the current board if they allow to many to leave or replace MP with a cheap option and rely on Uncle Les, who imo can run the youth set up but whose track record when he has direct first team involvement is poor, BUT the time for moaning is when these events happen not before they do

there's a surprise
-
"What's worse, is apparently there's no need financially for anyone to leave" But that is the bit we do not really know. RK said from day one we had to fulfil our potential, I think that is around 16th in league so the only way is down

The Statement thread (that turned out to be untrue)

normally I would agree with you but just handed over £628. -
I am always saying "seen it all before" BUT the Lambert thing has got me worried. a guy who loves to play every game prepared to go to Liverpool as a bit part player because there is no way he plays before their current 2 strikers is a great concern as to what the employees of the club may think of their bosses. Jump ship while you can

12 Managers in the last ten years, something is wrong!
70's Mike replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
that will fall on deaf ears and blind eyes -
i really do not think we will get a "name" uncle Les is looking for a coach not an old fashioned manager who will a say about the club from top to bottom

other than the Arse, United and Everton suspect ours is not that much worst than most others -
bed wetters out in force this bank holiday on the 1 may 1976 we went into a game at 7/1 odds but 25000 of us believed this is an occasion when the club is more important than any other, if he goes it is his loss not ours

Who from the first team would you sell to raise funds?
70's Mike replied to ozzmeister's topic in The Saints
depends on how much we need -
as Chairman of the club i am glad you enjoyed it, pitch being dug up next week to improve it for the kids
-
just seen an up and coming player called matt le tiss , bit slow, bit over weight but spraying the ball about all over the pitch

http://southamptonfc.pvxgateway.com/ KEEP getting told not available so unable to renew at present
-
it would appear that the 2 ex pros and the non ex pro academy staff did not see eye to eye and Uncle Les sided with the non pros

Adrift on brown stuff creek without a paddle...
70's Mike replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
if half of the posters had been around in the past there would have been mass suicides in Southampton, every time there was no news to report -
Decided Newcastle was a better bet for my money
-
good that the club are keeping everything quiet, rumours stink
