us fans should learn from the club, lets do things quietly(except match days, not shout how good we are and just keep winning. football has a habit of smacking you between the eyes when least expected. so lets win the QPR game and move to the next -
lesson to be learnt in football never gloat until season is over, bite you on the bum comes to mind

surely in skateland they borrow someone elses car rather than buy

Lots of great memories Bailey baiting Horne's shot Channon's hat trick against the skates but one that just sticks with me was Chivers down the wing , crosses and Paine turns it into the net against Charlton, to make the trips to Leyton Orient and Man City meaningful. Still one of the loudest cheers in the history of the dell, along with Le Tiss against the Arse

UP THE DELL
-
by the 80's the capacity had started to be reduced and seats installed where there had been terraces but also agree that it could be a quiet place at times but there is something in saints fans make up that when atmosphere was/is required the loyal stand up to be counted. I think going to the Dell was part of a day long experience. In the Haymarket/Warrens/Park Inn/Scullards by about 11am, after bus ride into town, walk to the Dell about 2.30 arriving 2.45, watch game, back to town often via Hill Lane. Bus home, pick up Football Echo at 6pm , Bacon and Egg for tea , then up the Pub or back into town before the Rank later in the evenings. Made friends for live because of football

yes we are still a business as someone said but Saturday showed that we are again a business with a heart at the center of Southampton peoples lives. Over the last 54 years of going to games there are certain events not exactly on the pitch which will always live with me and make me say stuff Chelsea, Arsenal and United, Southampton and proud of it. Those events are, and in no order 25000 staying in their seats at half time to welcome Franny back Lawrie Mac leading the team onto the pitch at the Dell after the rape allegations Le Tiss's testimonial The last game at the Dell

think Jim Steele, Hugh Fisher and Dave Armstrong were also there , plus Lawrie Mac

there result makes it a good day

unless i mis read them the strangest thing was they had 52% possession. interesting that Cork seems to have been given more licence to push forward.

Takings must have been way down, shame the guard of honour was not announced some real heroes in the 2 lines, brought a tear to this old fools eyes. have known Billy , his father in law, for 44 years
-
strange now that anyone questions anything about club policy or decisions is a bed wetter, very unhealthy state of affairs
-
maybe only fools get caught ,
-
NOT Sure that is 100%, he knew about Shaw. Lalana and Lambert but not Loveren and Chambers
-
never to be forgotten that penalty against Newcastle

whilst i understand where you are coming from, it is healthy that some ask questions and doubt the Directors and Owners. If a few more had done that at Fratton , who knows what might of happened. -
i do understand that its just that my memories of the last 54 years support, probably through rose coloured specs, was that the best years when we had players who i thought genuinely cared about the club and the area. hope i am wrong but just feel that this summers events has ruined by simplistic view of supporting my team sad i know
-
probably a good team just sad that the days when we were the premier team with regards to english players appears to have gone, we are now no different to the other clubs
-
i am struggling to believe that any saints fan will think it is anything but good, strange OP
