  7. known quantity now, so one footed, good defenders now able to deal with him.
  8. A few mentioning Clyne, he started really well then Monk changed Dyer to that side and Clyne was occupied doing his defensive duties
  9. Two points Taking off Reed changed game IMO Just one of those games, we used to have a lot like that, sometimes a step back means you can take 2 more forward

  11. I was there but not going to tell any stories about the day incase the PC brigade on here get upset. no where near as hairy as John Milkins testimonial
  12. disappointing but at least it gives Ronald something to give the players a kick up the backside about for the next few weeks, never thought i would say this in 54 years of support but rather have lost today than next Sunday That is probably selfish as i was there in 76
  13. Sounds easy but buying in haste especially forwards can be bad news so you say to them come and play for us but when Mane and Jrod are back you may be number 4 in the pecking order, that could be the issue?
  14. Problem will be when BT start to increase their prices as they gain market share. yes its cheap now but in 5 years who knows
  15. Life was different then, you only became aware of young players when they made the first team. You read about them but rarely got the opportunity to watch them. I cannot remember if we even had a reserve team then, it seemed to come and go . I do remember Branfoot preferring Dowie over Le Tiss which was all part of the Branfoot out campaign
  16. I suppose i am the exact opposite to the OP I have not enjoyed a season like this for years NO pressure, the threat of relegation gone in January nearly unheard of in our top flight history
  17. Basically agree but actually believe other Clubs have good academys BUT we give ours a chance and TRUST them

  20. not convinced we should go for it unless the players we hoped to sign after May are available now. why buy what we do not need it seems to me that our recruitment policy is that a policy not a panic
  21. Neither Eastleigh will bypass them with promotion
  22. Interesting points of view, maybe time to accept football crowds have changed and that the great ends are a thing of the past.
  23. So for all those who knock our support, please tell me who we should aspire to be like
