I still think our midfield 3 is the biggest problem. Such a lack of mobility in there that they get so easily overrun. Unfortunately we don't have any other 'specialists' in those positions so I think we need to try something different. Romeu with Armstrong and Redmond either side? Seems very attacking but then I don't see what jwp and hojbjerg add defensively anyway. They are ball recyclers at best and we arent going to see much of the ball anyway. At least with a bit of pace and trickery in there we might be able to win a few loose balls and launch some counters?

Just had a little look at his YouTube highlights...I know! What i did like was that he really seems to commit to taking on the full back, in that he doesn't slow down or stop, he really goes at them and uses his momentum to get past them. When Redmond plays as a winger it frustrates me when he starts to run at them and then stops in front of them with the ball. When he does that it rarely comes to anything.

Sala bubble burst now, don't think they'll pick up many more points this season
-
He might have felt he was giving 100% but it was obvious that was not the case. If your hearts not in it then subconsciously you are going to lose a few percent. Such are the margins at the top level this can make all the difference, hence why Ralph only wants players that are all there.
-
He has been superb recently. Seems to love being a defender, kicks it, heads it, blocks it. No nonsense, just great defending!

With Cedric and Hoedt I very much doubt it has got anything to do with the system and everything to do with attitude, work ethic and commitment to the cause. If Hoedt doesnt fit "the system" then why would vestergaard?
-
I for one couldn't care less anymore if we are leaving superior players out. If they don't want to be here and give 100% then they don't deserve to play. The club has been a walk over the last few years, it's about time we took back control from the players. Even worse when it's the likes of Cedric and Hoedt that have this attitude given how average they are. They are not a van dijk or mane by any stretch.

It does indeed sound too good to be true. I'll admit to never having heard of Hasenhuttl until 15 minutes ago but his track record looks good and of course Mitchell seemed to do well for us previously and at other clubs since.
-
I would just make a few tweaks in the hope of finding a formula that works. Wholesale changes will do nothing for us. Gunn Stephens Vestergaard Yoshida Bertrand Hojbjerg Lemina Gabbi Armstrong Redmond Obafemi
-
I'd rather have Stephens there to be honest

The individuals that Hughes keeps persisting with, ie. Hoedt and Cedric
-
Good news, fingers crossed it keeps him out. I'm not surprised he has a sore foot given that he only ever uses the one. I bet it's the outside of his foot as well, the part that always slices it towards his own goal.

Catch me url should still work but you will probably need a vpn for it on match days. Their is also a url for a new server that they're selling which is better and doesn't require vpn. What app you using?
-
Scouse commentary were impressed with the link up play between gabbi and ings. Also said Yoshida has been impressive while lemina and hojbjerg have dominated midfield
-
Yeah and as much as I hate pool a lot of their spend was offset by the 130mil sale of coutinho yet mourinho seems to forget about that. The bloke is a moron
-
I'd go along with that side

Perfect player is just a media player designed for iptv. The iptv provider gives you a url to enter in to perfect player and it then generates the channels.
-
No you don't need Kodi. You would download an app called Perfect Player on to your Firestick and load up the channels through that. They would talk you through the process.

Having looked at a few of the suggestions on here, I went for Elite IPTV in the end. You can look them up on Twitter and message them for a trial. All seems good at first look and they seem pretty helpful. I went all in and subscribed for a year at £40, paid via paypal.

If 3 at the back then: McCarthy Bednarek Vestergaard Yoshida Targett Romeu Hojbjerg Bertrand Armstrong Redmond Gabbiadini I would rather go for 4-3-3: McCarthy Stephens Vestergaard Yoshida Bertrand Romeu Hojbjerg Redmond Armstrong Elyonnoussi Gabbiadini

Summer 2018 - Other teams Manager/transfer business

I don't think Liverpool understand that valuation is usually determined by a club's willingness or need to sell. They are valuing their fringe players as though they don't really want to lose them, like we would inflate the price of our key players if they were sniffing around. Surely no one would be stupid enough to pay that much for ings.....i hope. -
Why were we seemingly willing to splash 30 mil on Promes then? Where has that money gone? Or perhaps we were never seriously in for him and it was just to make it look like we were trying. Which i did wonder at the time...

I would be actively looking to offload Boufal, Carillo and Forster although this will be easier said than done. I would be content with Forster as back up if he wasn't one of our highest earners. Redmond I am in two minds about, I think there is a player in their somewhere but if he is going to be unhappy and disruptive then get rid. Bertrand is the obvious one that might tempt some of the bigger clubs at the moment although they are all pretty well covered in that position. So if we don't lose any key players then I would be looking to add: RB - some serious competition for Cedric is required, i think he has been a weakness this season. He often gets linked with bigger clubs but I just can't see it. CB - A commanding centre half. I thought Hoedt was meant to be this but the way Abraham held him off the other night was scary. AM - A Davis replacement essentially but someone that can get a few more than 2 in a season! Winger - Someone very direct with some real pace. ST - A target man type please. Austin and Long are ok back options. And I really hope Gabbiadini stays and we can try to get the best out of him.
-
This is a big part of the problem. Many of the players we have bought believe they are destined for greater things than us, especially having seen previous players take the step. They believe they are too good to go down and therefore think they can play their way out of trouble rather than fighting. Many of them are also completely deluded. I am amazed when the likes of Cedric and tadic get linked with top European clubs, surely that is just agent talk?! Cedric, hoedt, tadic, boufal, Redmond all fall in to this category. Although if Tadic would accept that he is only a left winger then that would help his cause.
-
Hughes to only play those he can rely on - Any idea's on who?
Adkins' Bus replied to striker's topic in The Saints
Tadic and Redmond must be absolute dynamite in training to play as much as they have. Boufal is probably pretty handy in training as well but far too light weight when it comes to matchday. None of them are the sorts you want for a battle. We must get Yoshida, romeu, jwp, Sims and long in for the fight now. McCarthy Cedric(there is no one else) Stephens Yoshida Bertrand Jwp Romeu Hojbjerg Sims Long Austin Also gives us the flexibility to move between 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 with jwp tucking in and long shifting right if need be.
