  1. When Romeu is out, 3 CBs need to be deployed. Lyanco looks fine in a three.
  2. No Romeu, no party. Ward-Prowse worth £60m? Pfff.
  3. I hope you are not counting this season in that, as he has been shit. £50m+? Fuck off.
  4. This aged well.
  5. Terminally ill patients enter hospital, the perfect breeding ground for a virus, immune systems completely fucked, then test positive for Covid-19. "Died with Coronavirus".
  6. Now who is being naive?!
  7. Elyounoussi picks up the ball. Amazon bird - "They are afraid of his pace (and power)." !?!
  8. No-one is paying £50m for James Ward-Fucking-Prowse.
  9. I couldn't agree more. How much more exciting has the team looked over the last 3 games?
  10. Stuart Armstrong frequently swaps wings from right to left, especially when the other winger is Redmond.
  11. He looked good technically in pre-season, although he will never be able to mask his chronic lack of pace. There is a creative player in him, can he be worked into the Ralph system in the Premier League?
  12. If you are pulled for a Covid status check, you are stuffed.
  13. Is the correct answer. Accepting that Livramento is unlikely to last 90 minutes, given his age, so replacing him on 60 minutes (not 88, Ralph...) with Djenepo or Redmond if needing to be defensive, Tella if chasing a goal.
  14. I can't remember the final score, but I think it was 4 or 5-0 at half-time. I had scored some corporate tickets, so was sitting in the posh seats. The pie and a pint at half-time weren't a patch on the fine wine and seafood served by Juventus in similar circumstances!
  15. They got dismantled there in 1999, I went as a 30th birthday present to myself!
  16. Dier is so shit, he can't even spell his own name correctly.
  17. We really don't need another centre-back with a lack of pace, whatever their other qualities. Speed is becoming ever-more important in an attacker's list of attributes (which helps to make the game of football more exciting); going against the grain and taking yet another technical but sluggish defender would be a horrific mistake.
  18. I thought he looked pretty darned good at the Euros, playing in a 3, with others able to cover his chronic lack of pace. I reckon he will fit in well at Leicester. We should wish him well; as far as we know, he hasn't acted like a dick, he doesn't suit the Ralph style of play and cashing in on an ageing player with a short contract is good business sense.
  19. Now just to shift JWP for a realistic £35-40m and we march on. I would not be unhappy with that; talk of £50/60/70m for him is ridiculous. Another player who doesn't really suit the Hasenhuttl play-book (he is simply too ponderous, accepting his dead-ball ability) but who may well better fit a different system. Hojbjerg was mourned by few here, but seems to suit Spurs well.
  20. You are an advocate of the proposed ESL, then?
  21. Diallo was good in the second half, but he was very loose in the first. Romeu looked imperious and played more box-to-box, in JWP's absence, to far better effect, in my view - there were far fewer short sideways, backwards and to-me-to-yous that add so much to James' stats. Cracking team goal, too, started right in the home corner by a risky, but successful, decision by Perraud, who looked to have plenty about him, again especially in the second half. Whether he gets away with those decisions every week in the Premier League will soon be seen. Redmond was Redmond (bad) - looks good against Championship opposition, as that is where he belongs. Stephens was Stephens (not bad at all, in the main) - was there some beef between him and Salisu in the second half? Saints did not appear to have a recognised striker on the pitch at any time.
  22. I have selected him in my Fantasy Football team, on the basis that he will be playing for Leicester.
  23. What did Poster 5 have to say?
  24. "...any (supporters) who do not feel comfortable should not be attending." How refreshingly adult.
  25. Boo at something that happens on the pitch in real-time, if you must, but to boo at anything you feel like, at any time? When Sir Alex Ferguson dies and a minute's silence is held at St. Mary's as a mark of respect, will you be happy to boo because you hate Manchester United? Actually, don't answer that...
