SSN reporting that S****horpe say the offer to Adkins is withdrawn
Topcat replied to Topcat's topic in The Saints
Solent reporting from "inside the Saints" that the offer has not been withdrawn and that Scunny are just trying to up the payment. They did not add that the Scunny chairman is alleged to have had a fight on the training ground, eats babies and sh*gged players wives but maybe we will read that on here later? -

Where was he a "successful businessman,". His CV indicates that he was the account manager at a bank handling high net worth individuals. He has never run a business prior to Saints. -

It is noticeable that S****horpe work hard at keeping their supporters informed on developments whereas Saints employ silence. -

Dear Mr Cortese. To help you with your HR problem. In banking if you hire someone employed by another they will have a period of notice to work ranging from 1 to 6 months. In football they will have a contract where the notice period is usually 12 months. Now you can wait for them to work the notice or if you want a Manager right away, someone has to pay the compensation. -

Cortese looks to have blown out a new Manager ahead of Saturday. Anyone he approaches now will know that they were 2nd choice and that they better count their fingers after any hand shake. -

Adkins may well think twice over coming even if Cortese backs down and agrees to pay the compensation. Adkins will wonder what calibre of Chairman will he be working for. -
I was not impressed with Adkins until I read this today. That is a man with some basic decent principles. Probably too good for Cortese.
-
Adkins has NOT signed - and may not do so now either !!!

“The Southampton people have been very difficult to deal with." “They are probably not the right sort of people for Nigel to be working with." Cortese, why should we be surprised? Some on here attacked the Legend Matt Le Tiss for saying the same thing on Talk Sport. -
I heard they have a civil partnership.

Adkins on brink of Saints job 2:30pm Wednesday 8th September 2010 http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/8378954.Adkins_on_brink_of_Saints_job/ "Negotiations are thought to be underway this afternoon to complete all the necessary formalities, such as signing contracts and agreeing compensation with Championship side S****horpe. "

I would trust Le Tiss to know what is going on at the Club. If he says that the Chairman is unfit to run the Club i trust him to know from people inside the Club what Cortese is really like. Even Lowelife was not stupid enough to ban all newspaper photographers.

Hits the nail on the thread. But the little Italian probably prefers Nutkins who he thinks he will be able to dominate.
-
So Reed effectively had 2 votes on the committee with his line report Burke.
-
I had an open mind on Reed up until about a week ago when having started a thread on him, facts came to light on his real role and history. Since he has chosen to undermine our chances of promotion by helping to push Pardew out, I hold him accountable along wiith Cortese. The last figure in that role who created havoc was Wotte and relegation+administration followed. So buctootim a Serious question, how much is Cortese paying you?
-
Roy Hodgson did not tolerate Reed at Fulham.
-
What Nigel Nutkins lacks the WOW factor?

As we are in L2 I would put the age for a young player at 2 years under the Prems 18 to 22. Which is 16 to 20. We only have a couple of starters in the 16 to 20 age range so I agree with NickI that we do not have a young team.

Cortese authorised the statement that it was all about co-operation between the first team and Les Reed's empire. That was a very clear and meaningful statement of the cause.
