Dune, your proposal (another thread) to run surveys leading to press releases would remove the ability of SISA and the Trust to give their opinions. They could only "echo" the survey results.
-
Great idea. But can we allow a few hours to debate the wordings of the questions please.

Time to accept that it is unlikely we will go up

I have read many of your past posts across this and other fora assuming you were also LGSC. So I am puzzled by your logic. The thread was about whether we had to accept it was unlikely that we will go up. It is about our chances of promotion and they in turn depend upon the % of League games we win. Cortese also seems to not care what the win ratio is but cared more about "co-operation with the training dept and investing (nett) more cash in Les Reed's empire this summer than the 1st team". Just as Lowe cared more about having "a radio station, Sir Clive Woodward's empire and 1st class catering" -

Yes I do. But do you post anything...ANYTHING that does not have an luvvie-cortese vibe to it..???
-
The former players, coaches and Managers of Saints clearly regard Cortese with the same level of disrespect that they held Rupert Lowe.

High Win ratios actually mean that you get a lot of THREE points.... -

Yes but he failed to co-operate with Less Reed's empire and that is more important than a little thing such as the 1st team performance. -

The season that he was fully in charge and they got promoted his win ratio was 47.8%. -
This forum could be the best representative of fans views. All it needs to do is run balanced polls and get 300+ responses. But do the mods/owner want to take it on? They could help shape the agenda.

Adkins average win ratio with S****horpe is 41.7%. The best win ratio since 1897 of a Saints Mgr achieved was Pardew with 53% . To win automatic promotion we now need 60%+ in the remaining games. Do you see the scale of the problem? -
I am not happy for Cortese to carry on as this self appointed dictator showing zero business acumen. He needs to be held accountable. The Liebherr family may assume that everything is ok under Cortse and that we are still on schedule for automatic promotion under the "lots of games left" dream. After this article and the other one from the NB chap in the Echo word will get back to them (via press cuttings services quoting their family name) that everything is not ok. They can of course choose to ignore it.

But who does speak for us? The Trust was setup in the right way and then its organisers went to sleep. zzzzzzzzzzz
-
Nothing wrong with us. It is just the muppets that have run the Club. We have a large loyal supporter base of circa 20,000 in League 3 and able to bring 1,500 to away games. There are less than 10 teams in England capable of bettering that. Be proud.
-
No harm in someone asking for the clarity. Chance of Cortese responding? Zero. But if the Liebherrs are reassessing Cortese's role anything that hits the press like this will encourage them to put Cortese under closer scrutiny. SISA may not represent anyone except 6 people, but at least they are trying.

Fans deserve transparancy on the reasons for pardews dismissal!
Topcat replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
What about the players? Most seem dispirited by the action and they need to be brought back on board. Players need to believe in the Saints Club. Most do not have that belief today. Adkins may only have a few weeks to sort it out. -
Pardew's silence is quite usual, when a Mgr is asked to sign an NDA to get paid off in full. Or when he is about to launch a law suit for compensation. It is conceivable for the Pardew 3 to fall out with Reed's empire and this "co-operation" reason to be used for all 3 to go. If it was for extra-curricular activities that is usually something applicable to 1 and not all 3 people. Extra-curricular activities would also be incompatible with the wording from the Club. Imagine the tribunal. "Yes we fired you for ****g*** but publically we lied and said it was for a lack of co-operation with Sir Less's empire."
-
But the Club stated that he and the other 2 had to go to improve co-operation between the First Team and Less Reed's empire.

Hits the nail on the head. Instead Pardew stumbled along being resented by Cortese who then listened more to Reed and in the bust up decided to back the bloke in charge of the training ground, -
Former Managers and players give up their time to raise money for a former player. Just remind me what the Club has done?

We are almost at the point where of our remaining games we will have to win 65%, draw 25% and only lose 10% to get automatic promotion. 5 year plan? We are in year 2 and look like being stuck in L1. This 5 year plan looks unachieveable. It all comes down to Managerial stability. In our last 10 years in the Prem we had the worst record for that. -
Manji is a very strong supporter of Rupert Lowe over many years on websites. That says enough about the quality of his judgment.
-
The OS statement pointed to Pardew+2 being unable to co-operate with Les Reed's empire. How is firing Pardew a necessary evil? The better/cheaper option would have been to fire Reed. "Following a review of the current status in and around the First Team, the Club has decided that, to achieve its well known targets, it is essential to make changes to the First Team management and coaching. These targets for sustained and significant progress embrace both the First Team and the Football Development & Support Centre as integrated, co-operative units. Consequently, the First Team Manager, Alan Pardew; First Team Coach, Wally Downes; and Goalkeeping Coach, Stuart Murdoch have been relieved of their duties"
-
Cortese's action to remove Pardew increased the win ratio required for automatic promotion from 53% to 60%. Not a wise move. He has to be held accountable for decisions like this.
