  1. Hire a good PR Manager for £50k a year and actually take their advice.
  2. Are you saying we should not trust a Press statement from Cortese?
  3. This is what the Club stated. Now since "the Football Development & Support Centre " is Les Reed's department, the crux of the justification was to improve co-operation between the First Team and Les Reed's Dept. As to underperformance, there is nothing in the statement saying that it was down to underperformance. Indeed the Echo stated that they were briefed from Cortese's people that the dismissal was not to do with performance. A Manager with one of the best win ratio's in 125 years at the Club, also has a very strong case for being a high performer.
  4. The Press statement was quite clear that he and the other 2 coaches had to go to improve co-operation with Les Reed's dept. Or was the Press statement lying? What other illogical acts have we seen from Cortese? Banning media from taking photos, Banning the Saints Trust Chairman from a ST, Ending a payment scheme for STs without explanation, Installing car park charges for supporters going to away games etc etc All petty stupid actions that were also badly communicated. How many examples of illogical acts do you want?
  5. If the cap fits. We (British) people do not like dictators.
  6. Is the British disease removing a Manager with one of the best win ratio's in the Club's 125 year history to improve co-operation with another dept? One of the things Britain has a proud history in doing is standing up to dictators be they Hitler, Napoleon or King John. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magna_Carta
  7. 60% was possible but not 70%. A 55% League win ratio would have been enough for automatic promotion this season with 12 draws. Just read the Press statement. The only justification listed as the reason for dismissal is the need to have "co-operative units" between the First Team and Les Reed's department.
  8. Dismissing a fact that states that the record of Pardew with "one of the highest win ratios in our Club's 125 yr history" as something of little consequence and that instead we should look at other things such as Cortese's judgement or the importance of inter departmental co-operation, is the real insult to intelligence.
  9. Issuing an insult shows the weakness of your argument. I must have missed the protests against AP, the chants at SMS demanding AP to be sacked etc...? Not. The facts are that AP had a very good win ratio record including his "slow start". Best for about 100 years as a Saints manager. The Club stated that he was dismissed to improve co-operation with Les Reed's department. Those are facts stated on the record. Dismissing a Mgr with one of the best win ratios in our 125 year history needs a lot more justification than "to improve co-operation". Yes Adkins has to be given more time but since AP departed we have one of the worst runs of form in our 125 year history. We are less than 90 minutes from having the longest goal drought in our history. Those are all facts and pretending that these appalling records do not exist or are worse than Lowelife produced is trying to spin a fairy tale on behalf of Cortese. I do believe we will score on Saturday and think that luck may fall our way agst Sheff Weds.
  10. AP win % = 53.13% Without AP the win ratio is 0%.
  11. I agreed with sadoldgit in most parts. The main conclusion that comes across is the problem with the quality of the Leader of the Club. We have suffered from many inadequate Leaders apart from Marcus. Lions led by Donkeys. We actually have a very viable Club and I hope that Cortese can quickly learn some business management skills or is replaced with a better Leader.
  12. It leaves Adkins F**ked.
  13. Yes we have still not scored a goal for 5 games. But if you want a happy clappy post then smile.
  14. There were 2,000+ more STs in the figures this year........ There has been a large slump in attendance after Pardew left. A fact. Let us hope that Adkins pulls it around.
  15. Of course it is everything to do with Cortese. He fired the Mgr after a 4-0 away win and then demoralised many of the players and removed the hope for many supporters had for this season. Of course Adkins may bring it back, I hope so. But you cannot deny that 4000 have stayed away after Cortese's actions. Under Lowe life when he came back for the final time he also drove away 5000 supporters.
  16. No chance of winning the League one title. We are hoping that we can get out of the relegation zone.
  17. The attendance is now running at 4,000 below earlier this season. The communication with supporters is abysmal and the "square" PR people are being paid to do PR work whilst supporters are voting with their feet.
  18. The stats indicate that our chances of automatic promotion are not ruined. But they are much worse than 2 weeks ago. If we win today, then we will at least see a "winning mentality" restored to the 1st team.
  19. After Marcus death, who is Cortese accountable to?
  20. Wrong. All it needs to do is express the results of properly conducted polls on TSW. It should be based on the opinions of hundreds and not the few.
  21. probably in the same % as SISA but TSW has over 100 times more members.
  22. An interesting read from NickIll... http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/fb_news.php?storyid=9303&title=saints_v_colchester_the_preview#comm
  23. Are you aware that we have lost our last 5 games?
  24. I would suggest it has to be much quicker such as a day to think about the question/s, 2 days for the poll to be open and on the 4th day the press release is done.
  25. Fine. But it might show that 60% have no problem with x decision, 20% agree with it but 20% disagree and will stop buying Hot dogs/burgers. 20% could still hurt the food sale revenue and should make people take notice of some minority views.
