Is one of those pledges to install a safety net all round the stadium to avoid anyone in the crowd getting hit by a puck?
-
We are due a lucky win. It could save the season!
-
In a bad slump in form and my rough calculations have them us and Swansea relegated on recent form.
-
If, there really is £200m of debt (a big if) loaded onto the Club, then we will be in a worse state than when relegated under Lowe. Let us hope that there is very little debt.
-
Statistically you could be unfair to Wigley as Pelligrino's winning record is worse and getting worse each game.
-
Pelligrino is happy as he is still in the job and cannot believe his luck.
-
Is that the Les Football Club?
-
You and Talk Sport are correct (Pilchards). A well run football operation would have done this. We have Les Reed "reporting to" a vacant Chief Executive role and a Part Time expat Chairman.

Networking for a new job for himself?

Pamplemouse. Amazing how the Daily Echo seems to have overlooked it? "Among a range of topics, one coach intends to pose the hypothetical question whether it is appropriate for the son of an executive director to act as an agent for academy players at the club where his father runs the show." That and the fact that LMA will sit there and think why has Reed hired a nonLMA manager who has turned in the worst performance in Saints history. What does Reed bring to the LMA?

It should be noted that Lambert is better acquanited with the Bundesliga than most British Managers. For example "Stafylidis was first watched by Lambert when the Stoke manager went to watch him train at the German club." http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11701/11212350/kostas-stafylidis-joins-stoke-on-loan-to-become-paul-lamberts-first-signing

Less does not mean ALL.
-
Yes only a loan but they are an experienced pro to shore up a gap where they have had a teenager.
-
Saint Albert outlines what should have happened.
-
Which may explain the form in 2nd half, 4 wins from end of Jan? Yet Puel still exited with twice the win rate that Pelligrino had.
-
If debt is loaded into a Business/Club to fund its purchase (look up leveraged buy outs by KKR etc) then the Business has to pay that interest and has less money to spend on its other expenses such as buying players and paying players wages.
-
So do they.
-
Jay Rodriguez and Van Dijk for starters and add in players getting older and slower such as Davis etc.
-
"decent enough squad" If the squad was as good as what Puel had then getting a new manager might be all we need. But there are signs that this squad is worse than Puel had for the 2nd half of his season. The players we have include ones that were carry overs from previous regiems and have missed out from clear outs that should have happened with each new manager. Much as happened to us in the Prem relegation season when the then French head of our Academy said that there was not much quality in the squad.
-
Good points. So why was he not here from January 2nd?
-
"Southampton are on a 10-game winless run - the longest sequence in any of England's top four divisions." A damning statistic.
-
That will be the real tragedy if we are relegated. May be as high as half.
-
So long as she got cash for the 80% and not some other paper she will be fine and probably writing off the 20%.
-
Good point. Pelligrino's record is so bad that even if we had 6 more wins and took us into 40+ points his win % would only be 26% which would still place him amongst some very poor Managers that Saints have had.
-
Not sure what point you are making but spending £50m to avoid relegation is a rational punt. Unless you are a Blackpool or Blackburn.
