how many of you would defer wages for the company you work for? I know i wouldn't - instead of looking at the players we should look to those who agreed to pay the likes of Euell £10k a week...
-
I dont care as long as saints exist, thats all that matters. Chin up.
-
All the more reason for saints fans to own the club if we can - we are going to have to bale out the club anyway, so seems a logical step if it can be done. Fair play to Crouch to come out and say what needs to be said.
-
i wouldn't feel guilty at all to be honest, it's your time and money. SFC doesn't come high up the importance scale in my life simply because there are far more important things to invest time in.

Would you BOYCOTT? Ways to get rid of Lowe and the board
funkymojo44 replied to Wes Tender's topic in The Saints
is there not the danger that it would hurt the club rather than lowe? if only a few thousand turned up he would probably just be forced into selling another product of our youth academy to help balance the books. I would go for a protest inside the stadium, Lowe is very stubborn and i can see a boycott making him even more determined to stay and 'fix' things. (and others on the board) it would be interesting to know if any other club has tried this before -

I was surprised when I saw this poll - I was berated some years ago when I suggested the very same thing but judging the poll so far it seems that most of you would go that far. I was wrong the last time and imho it is wrong again to boycott. I support southampton fc first and foremost above all else including JP, Lowe, players, MLT or the tea lady. i don't believe at this stage that a boycott achieves anything, i would rather see a packed stadium vs man yoo than the embaressment of having an empty one. there are surely other ways in which to oust lowe -

The only 'new' badge i like in recent years is the QPR one; http://www.qpr.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~1304309,00.html I'm sure most people prefer the traditional style badges

Daily Echo - LALLANA Fulham bid rejected...SPURS INTEREST TOO
funkymojo44 replied to exit2's topic in The Saints
Looking forward to the day when a young team can build over time - hopefully he's happy enough to stay and be part of something here. Realistically though we all know that if a prem team comes in he's probably off. -
I watched the game on tv, so infact i watched the match. My reaction would have been the same at st.marys or not. I wouldn't boo the players like that - a young team that needs consistantcy, not a bunch of nob ends randomly booing. But then of course at our next match the same fans will be going delirous if we win and ****ing over the same players they just booed today. Cretinous.
-
Reactionary bull-**** once again from fickle retarded saints 'fans'. A handful of games doesn't make a season.
-
Still, do fans need to boo? Of course they have every right, but IMHO they are ******s. They must be bloody morons to be cheering and clapping at our last game and then acting like dicks the very next.
-
I can understand concerns how he might fit in to our new playing style, but he hasn't been given the chance yet! Yes he lacks speed but its another option should he come back. All im saying is that he is a proven scorer at CCC level for us and could be an asset for us long term.
-
Yeah a shop window dummie that scores 20+ goals a season when given the chance! I think he will be sent back to be honest, there must be a clause that allows the parent club to take him back for treatment. Only problem is that the wages would come back to us but a fit Rasiak is another option i would love to have in our team, not a CCC rival.

Anyone know when the 1st and 2nd half extended highlights come on saints tv?
-
4-4-2 varying to 4-3-3 (get a goal) or 4-5-1 (hold a lead) is all you need if the players are good enough. Most forwards are versatile making the 4-3-3 an option even with 2 strikers on the pitch, so one can go out wide.

here's some stats, fairly even overall... Possession 48% 52% Shots on target 4 5 Shots off target 6 0 Corners 5 3 Fouls 13 8
-
After 2 league games? IMHO we have playes well in both, lost both narrowly 2-1. By all accounts todays games was harsh on us, if the performance was bad then i'd be concerned but only after 3 or 4 games. The performances have been encouraging and although disappointed i'm not despondant yet.

Best news i've heard for a long time, and bigger than any signing we've made - Svennson back in defence is a major difference.
-
I haven't seen too many negative posts in the last few weeks, which is good considering mos fans are looking forward to the start of a new season. Why continue the debate that about something that happened months ago? Does anyone really give a toss anymore?

Promotion Is A Realistic Achivable Objective - Wilde

I agree with him - it is a real possibility given how this league usually shapes up. I don;t see how it adds undue pressure to the players though, the players should believe in themselves and im sure the coaches are drilling this into them pre-season. A bit of self belief can go a long way just look how a lack of belief has cost us in recent years.... -
I wouldn't worry about predictions in this league! Look at the previous 2 seasons... Leave predictions for the premiership. I think we will have a few surprises for some fans that think we will be in the bottom half, i'm hopeful that we can push into the top 8.
