How do you put people on your ignore list?
-
Remember when we bought Bradley wright Philips with our Coca Cola prize money (well half of it)
-
We're you concerned previously when Forster was in fine form? Watson has been at the club for a while, he suddenly hasn't become a bad coach. All players including GKs have bad runs of form. Sorry but this criticism seems a bit over the top maybe the timing of your post reflects the sort of rabid foaming at the mouth some fans are showing at the minute turning on Puel and some of the players. Imho
-
**** me the negativity in here from some is laughable. The club should be commended on how well we've grown and yet some still seem to complain and be negative. I just can't understand it

If we won't or can't break into the top 5 ceiling, then Everton certainly won't

#AskPahars: Marians Pahars answering questions from Saints fans
funkymojo44 replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Brilliant thanks -
that's useful to know, both look identical and have the same description.

Thanks for the info, really useful. Price comparison, the exact same jacket for the NI team is £57 (all weather), so the saints version with discount ain't bad at £46 http://www.jdsports.co.uk/product/adidas-northern-ireland-all-weather-jacket/191283/ https://store.saintsfc.co.uk/Product/ProductItem/0000-11962

Anyone own the current adidas all weather jacket? Never get the chance to see these things in the shops locally, so no idea if they are decent enough in the cold weather. Appreciate if any of you chaps have one and have any comment on it https://store.saintsfc.co.uk/Product/ProductItem/0000-11962

FC Midtjylland 1 Saints 0 - Post Match reaction
funkymojo44 replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
This worries me as there may be something in it. Although you'd think Koeman or any manager would want a result for personal pride, perhaps a 2nd successive season losing top players is frustrating him. -

For once I totally agree with the sentiment of most posters here. Route 1 football totally against what we've been successful with. 3 CBs v a team we knew was going to sit back Poor choices both on the field by players and Koeman Whatever the reason behind our poor start we need to simply get back to basics. 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 and stop lumping it up to Pelle ffs -
The game tonight was stop start for most of the game - one of the admins on Facebook suggested it might be an issue with chrome and suggested using IE instead. Some said that helped but I never got the chance to try.

I think it's more to do with jumping to negative conclusions whether or not the story is true or not. Guessing that VVD will be signing for Stoke or Everton (what you said) is a slight knee jerk reaction don't you think?
-
Went does it mean anything? The story is obviously rubbish so why jump to negative conclusions?

Eljero Elia - Confirmed 6 Month Loan
funkymojo44 replied to Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd's topic in The Saints
Is any of this substantiated, because there doesn't seem to be much online about it? -
Deals can be announced tomorrow chaps.

Again label all you want but in the end it's about what you do on the pitch for Southampton that counts. And he has been disappointing overall.
-
Well that's just a stupid comment. Gaston has not yet proven he can make a significant impact in this league, simple as. You can't judge a player on the fact he went to a world cup, after all he hardly played! He is struggling to get a place in our team and when he gets a chance has not kept it.
-
Shame, if he's found it difficult with too many changes both in terms of culture and football then fair play to him for at least being honest and admitting it. I'm a bit confused by this thread though, seems some fans think it's a damming case against Reed and our scouts. Hate to break it to you but sometimes it doesn't work out, no matter how much planning and diligence is carried out. Footballers are human beings after all and it seems the usual posters on here need to be reminded of that.

Down negative man down!
-
Yep the tsn stream mentioned is very poor, jumps about too much.

The most distinct memory from my childhood supporting saints. I knew the result from earlier, just sat up to watch motd - the cries of the commentator as he headed home Beattie's cross was drowned out by my tears of joy watching that go in. An absolute legend if ever there was one. I was gutted to miss him when he visited Belfast with Latvia as coach a few years ago because he's about the only former player I'd actively make the effort to thank him for his memories.

Ok we differ on that-i don't think Samaras really is better, flattered somewhat in a weak Scottish league and honestly I think Gallagher would possibly get a similar goals return. But totally agree it would be a rather depressing signing. Who knows there maybe other targets we aren't aware of yet, plus this samaras link seems to be from one paper
-
Samaras got 4 goals in 35 league appearances for city in 06/07. He would add very little bar depth to our squad even if it would seem tempting on a free.
-
From what I've seen of him I don't think he is IMHO. Samaras failed at man city and offers very little to suggest he could make an impact in the premiership at the second attempt. I wouldn't want a player struggling in our team to impact Gallagher and his chance to learn and progress. By the same token I'd take a striker who brings obvious quality, but a player above Samara's ability. I don't want us to fall into the same trap as we did when relegated from the premiership - too many average players on the books.
