This may have been picked up wrong, I meant close as in a 3-1 2 legged score isn't a huge insurmountable difference. That's no bearing on Jones' mismanagement of the actual games though which I agree.

I think it's telling that even with a reasonably close 2 leg semi final against a club bankrolled as they are, Jones still getting a fair bit of stick. Can't recall that strong a feeling in a cup since the Poch / Sunderland debacle a good few years back. Jones not helping himself at all as per usual.

I seem to recall plenty criticising Romeu during his poor form, and yet plenty happy to see him start yesterday. He had a poor game as well. Valery struggled, should we write him off as well? Didn’t get to any of the games but had family up watching them for a group match. Very impressive apparently and one of the few teams who’s coaches weren’t continually shouting from the side. Gave them instruction occasionally but let them get on with it. The county teams from NI have done well this year, so no disgrace losing to Armagh. As for coverage there’s a lot less on the minor section overall
