The fact he is 20 and speaking in a non first language, plus the level of maturoty he shows is quite astonishing and an indicator off the pitch at least to English players of how to conduct yourself. From reading Pep Confidential its clear Guardiola took an early shine to him, as much for his intelligence, tactical awareness and desire to learn as for the technical elements. Hope he has an injury free pre season because he could be fantastic for us.

We shall. He thinks we have the best pool of midfielders in the league. Personally I think we lack a mobile ball winner but maybe that is Reed.

Its on the OS article. Its a little arrogant IMO. If Clasie does more than last season and JWP/Reed train on then its a good pool of players but I will take them being nearly as effective as the Morgan/Wanyama/Davis trio was, because it certainly wasn't last season.

From Reed's comments its clear that Højbjerg and the other options we have are seen as being sufficient to replace Wanyama.

Great signing it would seem. Good work from the club to make it a 5 year deal. Seems we have learned that 4 causes issues after two years. He also seems like a good character, regardless of talent.

That would certainly be a step too far for this summer IMO. Would leave us with only Redmond who could be deemed "creative" and he is still a bit of an unknown quantity. That said, Tadic has 2 years left on his contract so if a new one isnt put forward then who knows?

Good move for Pelle. Between his and Mane's departures (29 goals last season) we definitely need one more attacking signing.

Along with Tadic he shook the core of the PL by daring to acknowledge fans singing his name during the match whilst the ball was in play. For that alone his signing was worthwhile. Re Tadic, I get the feeling he would even do it whilst he was on the ball!
