  1. Exactly, that's my point. The difference between us and them is how badly we were run until the wave of sackings in late 2018, for which we are still paying the consequences. Our signings since indicate that we are better run now but it still doesn't make up for the fact that the VVD money was mostly pissed away. Hardly anyone who we bought with that money has increased their market value in their time here.
  2. It is also the King Power mantra. Somehow that isn't a problem for Leicester.
  3. Areola if we are looking for a new keeper. Aina CDAJFU at both right and left back. Both are at Fulham on loan.
  4. Rather have Areola on a loan with obligation to buy when Fulham go down and don't take up their option to buy.
  5. Anyone else get a nice, warm fuzzy feeling when you remember that Levy sacked Poch to hire a past it, loose cannon Mourinho?
  6. It was taken out in order to have the cash flow to operate as close to normal as possible during the Covid period, that includes buying players.
  7. The foetus would be a better var ref than Mike Dean and Lee Mason. Just need to install a monitor in the womb.

Swap for Angeliño and Jack Harrison

He fits as a stop gap between losing Aguero this year and getting Haaland in 2022. Too expensive to be a backup to Kane and wouldn't be interested in any of the others.
  10. Look on the bright side... with two 9-0 defeats on his record, no club further up the food chain will poach him from us... he is ours for ever!
  11. Request accepted.
  12. I agree with this... the best argument for resigning Theo is if we sell Redmond to fund an upgrade and Theo comes in for cheap depth.
  13. If we were to sign him it would be because we need another body and can't afford anyone else. Like I said, I hope we can afford to get someone better and younger. Theo would be the cheap option, the 100k he earns now is irrelevant. Players don't like pay cuts, but as things stand, his salary next season is 0, so any contract he signs is a profit for him.
  14. I'd hope we would get someone better. He won't cost anywhere close to 100k though, he is out of contract in the summer. What he earns now is irrelevant.
  15. Would people be happy if we had Leicester's owners?

Doubt it. They would be signing him knowing that he would be backup to Kane, and Spurs aren't the sort of club to willingly pay a backup 6 figures a week. More likely to go to Man Utd (they would pay that for a backup, and Cavani is out of contract), Arsenal (Ings would start for them) or even back to Liverpool. City and Chelsea don't need him, Spurs or anyone else won't pay him more than us.
  17. It's quiet all round, everyone is skint. Only 6 transfers for more to £10m anywhere in the world, and of those 6 there is an "internal Red Bull" Salzburg to Leipzig, Diallo to Man Utd which was done in the Summer but had to wait until he turned 18, Kondogbia which was allowed outside the transfer window back in early November because Arsenal triggered Partey's release clause on deadline day and Pedro to Flamengo which is a loan being turned permanent. So basically just Haller to Ajax and Diatta to Monaco then. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/transfers/saisontransfers/statistik/top/plus/0/galerie/0?saison_id=2020&transferfenster=wintertransfers&land_id=&ausrichtung=&spielerposition_id=&altersklasse=&leihe=
  18. True... "one of the main factors Chelsea wouldn't offer Ralph the job" would have been more accurate. The game that must not be mentioned was almost a whole year after Ralph joined and our new signings take a long time to establish themselves... would be a poor fit. They have been the most successful English club since Abramovich bought them, so something about the way they do things works. Bayern and Real Madrid are hardly shy when it comes to firing managers either. When you are someone who never really deserved the job in the first place, you can't complain about "not being given time". And 18 months is more than enough.

Damn autocorrect... I obviously meant Sekou Koita. A few other options... Adam Hlozek from Sparta Prague, Dennis Man from Steaua Bucharest and George Weah's cousin's son Boulaye Dia from Reims. At this point I would probably sell him now if it meant we get more money than in the summer, especially since having to replace him means we probably need two new forwards.

Sigh... wonder how much Salzburg want for Daka and Sekou Koitus.
  21. Oh fück off! NO! No way should we accept this.
  22. Because they have been better run and made better use of their resources than we have. It does not mean that they have more resources, unlike Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal. Being able to spend £30m+ is what happens when you get a year of Champions League money and sell a few players for £50m+ instead of not making a big sale in three years and wasting money on players you can't give away. They aren't doing anything we aren't capable of, they don't have any structural advantages over us, if we are run well we will regularly be where they are, if they start being run like we were up until two years ago, they will be fighting relegation just like we were.
  23. Why would he make a sideways move? 😂 Anyway... one potential problem for Ralph at another club would be patience... it took us a whole calendar year under him to start playing well and our new signings usually take a long time to adapt. Ralph may well be aware of this.
  24. I don't see him signing a new contract anytime soon either. Fortunately we don't need him to since the one he signed a month ago only ends in 2025.😂
  25. If a club is willing to pay a 10m transfer fee for a player under contract at another club, they will obviously be willing to pay a 5m signing-on fee for that same player if he available on a free transfer.
