Romeu's role was played by Wanyama, Schneiderlin best role is the shuttle role. But regardless, we have since signed Hojbjerg and need a more creative midfielder than Morgan.
-
Oh hello! What position? Driussi! Driussi! Driussi! Or if Fonte is going, Yerry Mina! Yerry Mina! Yerry Mina!
-
Real already have Jesus Vallejo who is one of the best centre backs in the Bundesliga to replace Pepe this summer, expect their big signing will be an upgrade on Benzema.
-
Only listen to offers if we find a replacement. Can't imagine it would be likely that we will find someone who is at least as good as Virgil, especially that we will already be looking for a player in the same position to replace Fonte. So no replacement, no deal.

Why on earth would a player not like a release clause?
-
Kick on to where? Those three are your idea of a statement of intent? And why should we pay more for the sake of having a player who is "premier league proven", it will still be a gamble anyway, all signings are as they won't be "Southampton proven". There is far more value in buying abroad, that is why we do it.

Small forward from Málaga and his surname is Ramírez? Definitely yes! Please let his middle name be Daniel, please. He doesn't have one:(

Report the interest of other clubs? The Mirror? Hell will freeze over before they report anything factual. So far they have said, among other things, that Van Dijk has a 25m release clause which we have come out and said is bullsh!t and that Liverpool are interested, which they have come out and said is bullsh!t. And that Liverpool deal was to include McQueen who signed a new contract about 1 week later. What I am saying is that this media frenzy over Van Dijk comes straight out of the Mirror and is parroted by the other barrel scrappers that are the media, either quoting the Mirror as a source or copy pasting whatever the Mirror says, because that is what passes for journalism these days. And yet our own fans are pretty much resigned to losing Van Dijk in the summer, can you honestly tell me that it is not because seemingly every day the Mirror or some other clickbait wh0ring bullsh!t merchant of a media outlet says some big club is looking to buy him, turning opinion on the sheer quantity of bullsh!t the have been spewing despite the fact that they have no credibility with anyone with a minimal level of intelligence. Just reading back what I wrote, would anyone like to know what I think of journalists and the media in general?
-
Goebbels was right, repeat a lie often enough and people will believe it to be true. Or in this case, even though the Mirror are known to be clickbait wh0res without a shred of credibility, if they repeat their bullsh!t often enough people will take it as gospel. So now apparently Van Dijk will be gone by the summer because the Mirror and the other rags using them as a source say so.
-
4-2-4? That's not happening.
-
Wrong, it's the law, which is why they are generally set at unrealistically high values. It doesn't mean anything, should just be treated as if the player doesn't have one as is usually the case in England. Nothing greedy about it.

Hull and Palace both with one win in their last 6 games. Wonder who they played against?
-
What is it with the obsession with Haller, have any of you seen him play? He is utter junk. I swear some of you would put a lamp post in a saints shirt up front for the sake of having a "focal point" and "hold up play". We need another Mané not another Pellè.

If by all over recent news you mean Alex Crook and his mates sh!t stirring followed by "the news" bouncing around the tabloid echo chamber as they cite each other as sources or simply copy paste, because since when have the tabloid ever bothered with sources. Darren Lewis from the Mirror was on Jim White's talksh!te show and all but admitted the Virgil stories were fabricated clickbait. Virgil won't be going anywhere for a very long time, unlike Fonte who will be gone either now or in the summer. Defoe is just another Austin, he scores a lot because the entire team is set up to create chances for him and only him, much like Austin when he was at QPR. They don't do much other than waiting for chances to fall for them. Playing like that comes at the expense of creating goal scoring chances in greater quality and quantity that might otherwise fall to other players, making the team more predictable, and doesn't do much for defensive solidity either as teams lose the ball more often by playing more higher risk passes in attempting to find their main goalscorer in the box, even when there is little chance of pulling it off and would have been better to continue to move the ball around and wait for an opening. The "Austin scored a lot of goals for a sh!t team" comes up every now and then, but ignores the fact only Agüero took more shots than Austin, Bobby Zamora of all people was one of the top chance creators that season mainly because of the endless knockdowns and QPR's attack wasn't even all that bad, it was their defense that was particularly horrible. We would be better off signing an all rounder who doesn't just depend on others for service but can create chances for himself as well as for his teammates. Defoe is not that player and doesn't give anything Austin already does.

Can you blame me for not remembering that lot? Not many good ones? Have you forgotten the legend that is Guilherme do Prado? Since Fonte may well be leaving, here is my suggestion for the coming window Les (and again, Italian passport before anyone asks about work permits):
-
Italian passport. Small sample. One was a crock, one didn't fit our style of play very well (and was injured half the time) and one was already known to have a few screws loose. With the last two our recruitment process was bypassed by our ex ceo and with the first one... did we even have a recruitment process back then? I miss the sash
-
I'll keep banging this drum until Les listens to me. Closest thing to Agüero that we can get our hands on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdYJeXI7-9g

Why does Kat either have to put money in or take money out? Is it that difficult to imagine the club being run to break even, a sustainable non profit basically.
-
Some people really do believe everything they read in the tabloids, no wonder we ended up with brexit
-
My pick, 15 million euro release clause: http://www.footballwhispers.com/blog/the-next-big-thing-sebastian-driussi And his goal tonight in the cup semi:
-
Already liked him more than I ever liked the Donald Trump lookalike.
-
Rather play them in the semis without Mané, Coutinho and Matip than in the final.

Better to play weakened teams now against weaker opponents in the group stages and rack up points in the league than needing those points later in the season when we are playing stronger opponents in the knockout stages.
