https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/08/03/chelsea-set-listen-offers-tiemoue-bakayoko-danny-drinkwater/ Wouldn't mind Bakayoko on loan with an obligation to buy. With their transfer ban it's not like Chelsea need the money right now anyway.

Organic fertilizer to help you grow?

So the parasitic elite can stockpile even more good players? If anything it should go the other way, reduce non club grown players to something like 12.

OK, I'm ready to join a big club now. https://streamable.com/h9pz1

This feels weird to say, especially considering our history over the last 5 years, but the most disappointing thing about this transfer window has been that so few players have left.
-
I stand corrected. He rotated with Orban as Konaté's partner.

Why would a Leipzig backup end up at a club higher up the food chain than his current club?
-
Yep. Like I said, would be nice if it was expanded so we could play in it every year and the Champions League was expanded too to get any remaining big clubs out of our competition.
-
Exactly. It's just that a few posters are putting an emphasis on the fact that we would have unregistered players when it's irrelevant really. All that matters is the wage bill. If hypothetically we clear Boufal, Elyounoussi, Hoedt, Lemina, Forster but still have Austin stinking up the place, the club aren't going to not sign a player we need and can afford just because it might leave him unregistered.
-
What is the big deal with leaving players unregistered, as long as we manage to create space on the wage bill? If we manage to have the space to sign a CB and a DM without being able to offload Austin, why would anyone care if he is left unregistered? In fact, I would register an injured McQueen over him for sh!ts and giggles. What matters is getting players off the wage bill, not whether we will have more than 25 over-21s.

Winning the Europa League, that's about as far a club like us can go. Would help if it was expanded to include every top division club in Europe and made straight knockout from the start. And double the size of the Champions League group stage to ensure the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal wouldn't get in our way.

Well that bit isn't true, he was terrible that season. https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?58544-Forster-new-5-year-deal#.XS1JxuhKjIU Reed deserved the sack for this alone, that thread shows it was a terrible decision even without the benefit of hindsight.

Disgraceful:lol:

What do you expect Villa to do? Like Fulham, half their promotion squad was on loan, they have no choice but to buy a new team.
-
Midfield is a bigger priority
-
Don't think we would have gone for Adams if Birmingham weren't desperate for cash and would take whatever we threw at them. No way would we get involved in the domestic market otherwise.
-
20m? We should be all over this.
-
Exactly the sort of attitude we need!
-
A deal could be done if Atalanta hand over Castagne. 23, first choice left back for Belgium but primarily a right back. Only one year left on his contract too.
-
Like every other bottom 14 team that dares to have good players.
-
Our need for a proper Wanyama-like DM is hugely underestimated on here, we need one even if Lemina stays (since he isn't a DM obviously). We simply cannot play with only two CBs if Romeu is the one protecting them. If we really are going to play 2 CBs, then for me it is an even bigger priority than a CB.
-
Cash + Carrillo = En-Nesyri then. Gives Leganés the money to buy Braithwaite too.
-
Brais Méndez. Lobotka is crap, reminds me of Clasie.
