To give a player a 0 when he is generally acknowledged to have had a good game, and also provided an assist is not the mark of someone looking for a good debate. This is a deliberate attempt to stir and wind up. To demonstrate this, below are sky's player ratings. Now I rarely agree with Sky, but surely something is afoot when the opinion is that different? To be clear, I wasn't suggesting you were talking nonsense. I posted a little while back that J-Rod wanted to leave and it got rubbished. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I wouldn't waste one of my three posts a day talking nonsense :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah, hate all these new fans coming in, buying merchandise, increasing the global reach of the club, increasing the finances, hate the lot of them. Leave us alone if you aren't from Southampton you hear! We don't want your money! We don't want to compete! Honestly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Evasive answer. The teams put out against Palace, Arsenal and Sunderland were using mainly squad players and you know it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rabble rabble rabble, Puel this, Reed that. You lot are hilarious. The sense of entitlement from Saints fans is just ridiculous. Get some perspective or you will never enjoy being a Saints fan. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

It's based on a conversation I had with someone close to him. I asked if his mindset had changed but apparently not. He doesn't feel wanted. For me, the best way to feel wanted was to start banging them in. It's not like the crowd don't have his back. His name gets chanted most games. I'm told he has no issue with Puel either so I'm not sure why he wants to leave, considering as everyone has said, all the club have done for him. Unless of course he's been told he is not really wanted. He was out the door until he scored against Sunderland and the club u-turned. Maybe they have changed their mind again. Hopefully I've been misinformed, I'd like him to stay and push on with us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I know, I thought that too. Footballers want to play football though. The lad went from being 1st choice and an England player to 3rd/4th choice. He must think he still has a career to salvage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

J-Rod doesn't want to be at Saints anymore, hasn't since the start of the season. The player wants to move, club will only let him if they feel he is not needed anymore. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Absolutely fantastic post. I wish I was there, had to settle for celebrating with my new baby girl which was still a moment to saviour. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How you managed to turn a perfectly good OP into a dig at Redmond is beyond me. I cannot wait for the lad to prove you all wrong (even though, in my opinion he already has). To answer your question though, I like the look of Gabbiadini, I think any half decent signing would give the fans a lift which can only be a good thing. We need to remember that we can't buy ready made 20 goal strikers as the few players that basically guarantee you this are worth in excess of 40 odd million at the very least. Let's get it done! I'm pretty sure they've just accepted a 10 million bid from a relegation rival for their best player... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Quite amazing the ability to cram so much tosh in to so few words! Redmond standing near the corner take drags 1/2 defenders out of the box. Once the corner was taken, Redmond would take up a position outside the 18 yard box ready in case the clearance comes towards him, allowing him to either shoot or immediately play it back to the corner taker. Quite a good tactic actually. Once most of you lot actually spend a bit of time watching Redmond, you will realise that he is one of our best players, and the slating he gets is quite ridiculous. Yes, he misses chances, more than most, but that is because the lad is absolutely everywhere and earns the right to have those chances in the first place. Hojberg was fantastic but his shooting was shocking. You are clearly one of those plonkers who will only see the negatives and ignore the graft and endeavour these players put in just because they miss the target when they shoot. Case in point, Yoshida was imperious, quite brilliant, and all you mention is his mistake, which was that insignificant that I don't even remember it. I'm going to go ahead and assume that you've never kicked a ball in anger in your life, because if you had, your opinions would change dramatically. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Fair or accurate are not exactly words I would use to describe 98% of the posts on this forum. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I agree, but I didn't say people were not allowed their own opinion. My comment about negativity is more aimed at Saints fans in general who cannot fathom that the constant negativity will not help improve results. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This is the most sensible thing I have ever read on these pages, and mirrors my thoughts exactly. People are referred to as "happy clappy" as if being positive about your team all of the time is an insult. Positivity breeds positivity which can only be good for the team. Negativity does the exact opposite and only serves to worsen the situation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The thought that some of you seem to think that sending a player on with the sole purpose of seriously injuring another player is fairly damning of the mentality of some football fans. It's pretty shocking really. For the sake of clarity, what you are both suggesting is a form of cheating and no better (in fact much worse) than simulation, something that I'm sure you don't condone. Why you would want to encourage what is effectively violence from our football team i have no idea. I'd rather we lose with integrity than win by those means. And it's should "have" done it. Should "of" makes no sense at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm not sure who this is aimed at? Your response is a little confusing. Are you saying that my (and many other fans) expectations have fallen? Au contraire, mine have never been higher, I am the eternal optimist when it comes to most things, especially saints. I really do believe we have another top six finish in our locker within the next few years. Why was my post depressing to read!? I am a strong supporter of how our club is set up and despite feeling a little glum about recent results, I believe we will turn it around and have a good season. I've never seen a team suffer from the luck we have and the refereeing has been nothing short of terrible. To the point where you would be forgiven for thinking there was something fishy going on. Call me a so called fan if you please, but I have had a season ticket for as long as I could afford one, I never boo my team, never jeer any of our players and I will always be this way as long as I feel the club and its players are being ethical and trying as hard as they can. I'll keep it short. We sign very promising players on the basis that, should they perform well for us, they will have the opportunity to move on and play for a top side, earn top money and win medals. Here are the players I believe would not have signed for us had we not been a "shop window" for bigger clubs. VVD Boufal Mane Wanyama Tadic Cedric Martina (only joking) Forster (maybe) Lovren Bertrand Romeu Clyne Clasie Ramirez There are more I'm sure, and obviously some have not quite made the grade, but all this talk about us having a title challenging team if we didn't sell our best players, i disagree. If we didn't sell our best players, the majority of our best players would never have come here in the first place. It's not a perfect model but it is rather watch Boufal turn people inside out whilst learning his trade with us, than watch Chris Brunt or Ryan Shawcross dry hump people in the penalty area for 90 minutes. Brilliant. Lazy? Even though the reason he got sent off was for busting a guy yet again tracking back. You simply cannot fault him for effort. He is anything but lazy. I'm sure you know him well enough to know he is arrogant too. Frankly your post stinks of arrogance, and it's quite pathetic really. I'm ashamed of the way our fans treat some of our players, some Saints fans have become so self entitled it sickens me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

True, but this was really in response to someone justifying the amount of appreciation Redmond gets (or lack thereof) using the stats 3 goals and 1 assist as a negative against him and an argument for Tadic. I merely pointed out the equivalent stats. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
