Sorry mate, I know nothing more than what I previously said. This was from the point of view of financial planning, the chap basically said that funds were allocated for five signings. He also said that there was expected income for 3 players. He only said when asked that VVD was not a planned departure from a financial point of view. Unless my chain was being yanked which I'm fairly sure it wasn't, I would take the above as just financial planning and nothing more. I don't understand the vitriol people get for posting snippets of what they believe to be inside info. There are many factors as to why you could turn out to be wrong, and the least likely factor is that you are lying. I hope you are wrong, I suspect that VVD is trying to leave but I'm 80% sure he won't. I do know that the club haven't planned for it financially. I expect two more player sales, neither of them VVD, and 4 more incoming players. However this info was given to me before MoPe started his role so he could have influenced this in one way or another. I also know that the majority of players are MUCH happier with MoPe than they were with Clod. I can also confirm that Jo Tessem is punching. His bird fit. I think part of it is, we would be a second/third choice for some of the better players, they won't want to cash in their chips with us just yet, hence why our better signings have come at the end of the window. The other side is that the prices will be better toward the end assuming we are not in a bidding war. If we buy early, we pay a premium for sure, a bit like buying a house. You can all keep flogging that one about Les and his PR team if you like, but seeing as I know for a fact that his behaviour was less than appropriate, and he tried to force a move as soon as Utd came calling in the summer. The loyalty thing is nonsense too, because when he was asked why he hadn't tried to move before now, his response was, and I quote, "because no one has tried to sign me until now". I wasn't told much about Puel other than he has a three year contract which everyone knows about. The only name I was given was VVD and that is that he is staying. This could of course be a deliberate "leak" by the club as I'm a little confused as to why such key info is being so casually discussed. When they do it on match day one at half time when the score is 0-0. He is not an inept manager, he is a good manager, but not a great one. With good finishing and not conceding with the first shot on target for over half the games we would have at least 15 more points. Nothing this season has warranted booing. It is pointless and unproductive. Helps the team in no way whatsoever. And don't get me started on the vitriol aimed at players like Redmond. I'm fairly certain I could be a lot more wrong than that. Don't make this about something that it is not, I loved Atkins, I was gutted when he was sacked, I have nothing but excellent memories of his tenure and what I said takes absolutely nothing away from what he did for us. My point still stands though, his win % was higher because the team he had was largely better than the teams around him in league one and the championship.
