I find it incomprehensible that people think he won’t improve under Ralph. He had two below par seasons for us under 2 hideous managers and 1 manager who clearly did not suit his playing style. I am not saying it’s a dead cert that he would make it for us, but if anyone can get the best out of him, Ralph can. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

No mention of Boufal in that list which, for me, is a good thing. I want to see him back here playing for Ralph. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Ah, apologies, i did miss your point. And I do agree with it. So to answer your question, no I do not think that we should pay 20+ for him, nor do I think we have the ability to sign proven PL goal scorers. But I don’t think that is what you were suggesting so looks like we are on the same page here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Ah i see, get your point. So let’s just go and buy a proven player at PL level. 20+ goals for less than 20 million, should be a doddle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Sometimes you talk absolute drivel, sometimes, you talk absolute sense. This one is the latter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I may be wrong but Tadic and Pelle didn’t play together before they came to Saints, so Pelle’s goal return in Holland had nothing to do with Tadic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

VAR will still get more right that wrong in those instances in my opinion, is that not the overall goal? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I quoted the wrong post, it was in response to the post stating that only five teams had scored fewer than us which I felt was an inaccurate reflection of our attack. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

To be fair, since Ralph took over we have scored 31 goals which leaves us.......10th in terms of goals scored. Had Ralph been here from the start of the season it is highly likely we’d be higher than that in terms of goals scored. Personally I think we have a top 6 manager, so with some good business in the summer I can see us banging them in next year (and hopefully keeping them out too!) People being right about Pellegrino and Hughes does not mean that single one of us would be able to do a better job than them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

So just to be clear, you can use one piece of logic to validate your point but that same logic can not be used to argue it? For example, we lost to Cardiff twice (once in Ralph’s very first game in charge), lost to Newcastle, drew against Burnley (5th in the Pl on average points in 2019), drew against Palace and and lost to West Ham which “proves we are not particularly good”, but we cannot use the argument that beating Arsenal, Tottenham, Leicester, Everton, Wolves and outplaying Watford to prove that we are actually a good side? (I didn’t even mention beating the relegation fodder). Nonsense. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hard to judge really, on his day, he’s worth that and more. But as is the way with a club with our budget and appeal, the purchase of “proven” premier league goal scorers will always come with a caveat, in this case, it’s a poor injury record. Take that injury record away, he’s arguably out of our league. As Ralph has said, the focus will be on bringing in good young players in the summer, I’m happy with this as long as we have RH at the helm, because one thing we can be sure of, they will have the right attitude and he will squeeze every ounce of potential out of them (and with that will come huge transfer fees). Ings got the assist for Redmond’s second goal, and if I’m not mistaken, played in Sims with a great pass only for Sims to fluff his lines. Ings was off the pace today and was rightly substituted, but clearly has a touch of class about him and with a few more games under his belt, will surely bang in a few goals in the run in. Not to nitpick but you need to make your mind up. Your previous post says that this team is one of the worst in our history, now you are agreeing that, with Ralph, this side is good enough for a top 8 finish, albeit with a better striker? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

For clarity, I wasn’t suggesting that we play Lemina in the next match, I was pointing out the foolishness of effectively writing Lemina off based on his collective performances to date, when the improved performances of many of our players under Ralph would suggest that Lemina could well be a great player who has merely been hindered by poor managers. Would it not be prudent to judge this player when fully fit having had a good run of games under Ralph? It could be that, as with a large majority of our players, he will actually reach his potential under an excellent manager. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Isn’t Murray suspended? Picked up his fifth card earlier today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Imagin what he could do with a whole season and a couple of signings. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If the pen is given he has to send him off, so I would argue that it would have made a huge difference. Not to mention the other foul on Bertrand in the area. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You are aware that Yoshida was subbed off? Not to mention that Lukaku’s goal was a ricochet. Everyone has the right to an opinion, but this is just a little bit silly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
