Free kick in JWP territory. Perhaps a bit long though.
-
Good move by Armstrong already.
-
Yoshida passed up the middle on the deck to the Newcastle player.
-
********. 1-0.
-
Newcastle really wanted a red for that.
-
Valery’s out because of illness, according to Hasenhüttl.
-
Brighton get a point.
-
Hasenhüttl mentioned in his presser that McCarthy has an injury.
-
That’s a possibility.
-
Looks like a back 4 today with Stephens at RB.
-
Wolves just had a “how did that not go in?” moment.
-
Wolves v Brighton has not exactly been a thrill a minute. Brighton sitting back and Wolves not doing very much with a lot of possession.

There’s an article in my local newspaper, which features an interview with Krueger. It is mainly Krueger explaining why he won’t return to the Edmonton Oilers, but there are some comments on Southampton. https://edmontonjournal.com/sports/hockey/nhl/edmonton-oilers/jones-krueger-on-oilers-gm-job-thats-a-chapter-you-just-cant-reopen/wcm/0dcace95-6c81-4037-a90a-80a4280ed96e

In other important news, I learned today from the BBC that the nickname for Leganes is the Cucumbers. Their mascot is called Super Cucumber. -
Some of the online commentators (BBC, Telegraph) are suggesting that Deeney’s red card was harsh. I wonder if he’ll have a chance of appealing it.

Hoedt wasn’t in the matchday squad for Celta Vigo’s game today. I’m not sure if it’s an injury or if they’ve realized that he’s ****e at defending.
-
I had the same reaction to Long’s goal watching it on the telly, but it was Traore who played him on. Wasn’t that close.
-
They look vulnerable to me. Knockaert being suspended will be a blow for them as well.
-
Krueger went up in my estimation after the club brought in Hasenhüttl. I’m assuming that the decision to end the contract a little early rather than wait until the summer might have something to do with the fact that the regular NHL season just ended. There’s probably a few clubs that didn’t make the playoffs that are looking for new coaches.

Here’s an analysis of the run-in from Cardiff’s perspective... https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/newcastle-united-southampton-brighton-burnley-16094770.amp

Delofeu came on with a point to prove. The commentators on my feed reckon he was left out because of a lack of effort in a previous game.
-
Cracking game at Wembley.
-
1-3 FT Bournemouth v Burnley.
-
Note to Ralph: Bournemouth don’t like it up ‘em.
-
Yet more horrific defending and goalkeeping by Bournemouth. 1-3.
