Daily Mail reporting today that Man U will be bringing in no more new transfers this window.

Me too. Rojo's versatility may be useful and the black box must have rated him at one point in time. His "big club" wages might be a problem (I don't actually know how much he earns but assume it's ridiculous). If a Fonte has genuinely had his head turned, we could do worse.

I like the idea of Saints being competitive without throwing themselves off a financial abyss. It does not seem like that long ago that every year was a fight to avoid relegation. Some of those seasons were genuinely stressful. Now we tend to win more games than we lose, and we are sensible about it. We will never be another Man U or Man City, but we are a sensibly run club with some really great players. The last few seasons have provided some great memories for me.

Morgan probably would be happy for the company on the bench, assuming that Fonte makes Man U's match day squad. I tend to expect that if this does go ahead, we would have a replacement lined up.

Hopefully we'll take the same position with Koeman as we did with Poch i.e. we will sell no players to you, unless the player has wound down their contract to the final year. This business of using the media to unsettle our players does not get less irritating with time.

You sometimes lose sight of the forest for the trees, and forget how lucky we have been as Saints supporters since administration. Now I live in Canada, but I get to see virtually every Saints league game live on TV., where I can cheer my team on from afar. I'm not sure that this would have been possible without Markus Liebherr. He did something that was unconditionally good. Thank you Markus. Thank you Katharina.
