Adkins will have to show some good man management if we keep signing as our squad is getting very full of players who will be highly dissapointed at not playing. Can we keep the apparent good harmony that currently exists.

I would rather pay to watch us play Blackpool than have to stump up £30 plus to watch us get totally battered by a united or Chelsea. I have just bought a pub in Dolton North Devon, total change of lifestyle but hopefully the right decision. Brighton will probably be my last game as a local to here. Any one in the North Devon area is welcome to visit and spend some money ha ha.We might even be able to set up some travelling arrangements and the new West country supporters bash.

On the 2nd December i will become a new west country saint as i am moving to North Devon, will still be travelling back for most home games along with some aways as well if my new venture allows. Will seem sstrange travelling that distance to watch home games but dont think i will ever not want to come and watch.

Mitchell was in a box in the Itchen South but at half time was moved to the Itchen north corner right by the away fans. When he appeared in that box with his entourage their fans started chanting his name. He and the 3 blokes with him along with a woman who i assume was his wife then started clapping and dancing around. This caused some fans in block 4 to let him know some home truths as he was gesturing that we were going down etc. They were all in the box laughing and waving as this was going on wife and all. So anyone who comes on here and tells me that the people giving him stick were out of order should really get a life.

Right not much more to add from the original transcript other than when we get promotion ( god this will start the better fan than you arguement ) season ticket holders who have stayed loyal with the club through thick and thin will get much cheaper tickets than those who havnt. And the meal was roast duck with plenty of free wine and beer.

As i havnt paid me fiver ( tight bastard ) but i will do soon i mentioned on the manager thread a few days ago about this but nobody seemed interested.My friend who i go to SMS with and sits next to me got an invite and i will get a full breakdown from him soon but having spoke to him briefly last night he said. The evening was extremely well done and Nicolas commitment to putting this club back in the premiership IMO cannot be faulted. Sure he was never going to get into the real nitty gritty of the whys of everything but for all the doubters i believe this club is in safe hands.

I didnt say they had i said it was a possibility in my opinion, was pardew first choice, was houllier first choice for villa we will never know. All i was trying to say ( poorly maybe ) was that it has taken quite a while if Adkins was our first choice.

Whoever gets the job it is highly likely that because of the time this has taken they were probably NOT first choice and that we have been turned down by one or two. We willprobably now go into the swindon game with Wilkins in charge as the new man will not of had time to be with the players. I just hope we put up a better show than last week and last year against them whatever happens.

They should stick them all in a ring and last one standing gets the job, that would sort the men from the boys.

This instant impact people are mentioning is the problem for me as i see that as vital. The players and fans need this at the moment and the worst thing possible is for us to get off to a poor start under Adkins then the problem will intensify. A high profile manager would of put bums on seats and generated a feel good factor that may of seen them through any prolonged bad spell. Whoever comes in needs our support and all the player bashing i.e Puncheon needs to stop.

If keegan was to become manager ( which i doubt ) that would make cortese decisions regarding banning photos and the sale of season tickets now a financial masterpiece as everyone would come out of the woodwork and have to pay on a game by game basis and the press would show a much greater interest. Could this of all been done with that in mind ? probably not but stranger things have happened.

Everything you have posted seems to indicate a distinct hate of cortese and a certain knowledge of goings on in the club, please do elaborate on your reasons for this and how you seem to know. If true of course ?

The banning of the press and the fact you cannot buy season tickets now all falls into place. The new man has been earmarked for a while and will be so huge that thousands will be paying extra on the gate each game and the press will be clambering to buy photos. A pure marketing genius by cortese to increase the revenue, now who do we think will get it oh yes Adkins well that buggers up my theory then.

I think you will find he was the only one who made their keeper get his knees dirty with a good effort in the first half when he cut inside from the left. Yes the rest of his shots were awful but i didnt see anyone else trying that yesterday. It is easy to criticise him when things are going bad and we have a habit of making players scapegoats ( Kelvin Davis anyone ) and i could list many more . He will come good just give him time.

Somebody mentioned Chris Nicholl took us to seventh in the league, that just shows what any manager at this club is up against as i remember Nicholl getting so much abuse from those in the west stand at the dell for a while before he was sacked. And then they appointed Branfoot, i bloody hope a similar pattern doesnt occur here.

When the meeting happens next week between 15 randomly selected season ticket holders and Cortese someone on here should make 1 of the 2 questions you are allowed to ask him on this subject. You probably will not get an answer but you never know.
