Not sure why we persist with trying the South American market as we have had no success with any of them. Going all the way back to Delgado we have just wasted money and they have all been disasters for us. Also we haven’t signed Wood and Edwards to then play Taylor as a Centre back.

Please tell me that you’re not serious about having Harrison Reed as our defensive midfielder this season instead of Downes. He maybe neat and tidy but we need a hell of a lot more than that in the middle of the park. Whilst Downes isn’t a giant he has a bit of presence in there. If we aren’t signing Downes I hope we have someone else other than him lined up. In past Premier league seasons we have lacked that strong powerful physicality in the middle of the park which is why we hoped Lemina would solve it. After that failure we seemed to give up on the idea for some reason.

Well done I would never of guessed that would be the case. It was to see our available squad and what needs to be done.
