Its no point being entertained all season and losing is it, this place would be in melt down. The new manager needs to have one objective and that is to win games of football. Sure I don't want to see allardyce or his style but at the end of the day you can play all the pretty stuff you want and lose. The board will choose I hope the person who is best suited to winning games however that may be.

Lets be honest every player we have had bar one who was any good did exactly the same and will do in the future. The same will apply to any new manager that does well. If we cant keep Mopo due to lack of ambition - money - selling best players then we are unlikely to attract a big name manager who will have what to work with. It will be someone along the lines of Sherwood or Howe who has worked with younger players. I am just so worried we believe our own hype regarding the academy and the board seriously think we can throw them all in as most are just not good enough.

Personally couldn't give a **** about finishing above a poor man utd. Having followed saints since 1974 at 7 years old I always wanted and looked forward to fa cup runs. That was awful. Clubs like ours should not take this competition lightly end of. It always has been and always will be our best chance of success, I can understand a change at centre back with fonte leg but the whole performance lacked effort and intensity which we normally are good at.

I just hope that those in charge havnt bought into playing our academy as a must. They are not good enough yet to play premier league football. Ward Prowse has flattered to deceive, Gallagher needs time and Isgrove and Reed etc need games on loan in my opinion. Our bench looks very thin and any more injuries could see us fall away sharply.
