How good does a player need to be in your criteria to be good enough for our first team. Michael Obafemi and Shane Long have just spearheaded our attack in our last pre season friendly which is ludicrous. They may not be in our first team squad at the end of August but they are now and could well be for our first game of the season. The same applies to Moi, maybe he too will be shipped out before the window ends but signs are he will be staying. Yan Valery also another one ? Ralph also wanted to keep Lemina who was deemed not good enough for the last 3 years. Bit of a trend going on with all these players not good enough for our first team but now possibly staying.

When we play teams that have a player sent off the excuse usually starts with “ it’s hard playing against 10 men”.

How is getting stuffed in a pre season friendly good for the club / players and fans going into the first game. It doesn’t matter that some won’t be starting next week playing shit and getting hammered doesn’t do anyone any good.

Shouldn’t you try and play your strongest team that is likely to start the first game. Really odd selection process in these last two game’s although maybe Ralph is adopting the same alternate selections with the whole team now , not just the keepers. Maybe Ralph’s new wardrobe has disturbed his thought process

Even you would find it hard to find evidence of a club playing their second to last friendly or any friendly for that matter with four subs. What happens on Saturday with central midfield for example as we don’t have any others. Romeu and Diallo will play again and it doesn’t seem logical to find your starting eleven for the first game.

That is not the normal way pre season works and you know it. Seems a hell of a risk making the majority play 90 mins doesn’t it
