Salisu did well but we just have this dreadful habit of giving goals away. Not sure what to make of Armstrong yet as I thought he and Che were poor today. Romeu seems very slow at times with the ball and then gets caught in possession which I find frustrating. Djeneppo is just not good enough. Both fullbacks did well and Walker Peters looks ok at left back.

This win coincides with Alpine returning to the fold.

I shouldn’t think Armstrong is too happy about not starting, arguably one of our best players last season left on the bench for Djeneppo and Walcott. If he doesn’t start tomorrow after last week who could blame him.

We seriously cannot afford to sign another defender who needs to learn how to defend ffs. We have enough of those already and our world class coaches are not making them any better. We need someone who knows the boring art of defending as it’s beyond our current crop for the majority of games.

I just hope Ralph stops trying to adapt Peps false number nine tactics with his stupid false number 1 selection.

Surely he has to play arguably our two best players from last season in KWP and Stuart Armstrong. I am still baffled as to why they didn’t play Saturday or at the least come on after an hour. Walcott and Djeneppo just don’t do it for me and should not be starting.

Trouble is one Centre back is not enough even in the unlikely event he is any good. We will still have one of the other clowns making mistakes next to him. Having watched JWP today and his average dead ball delivery I now believe we should sell and reinvest as we need more. Djeneppo, Walcott should not be starting games. Unless Stuart Armstrong was injured he should not have been on the bench and should never be behind those two.

According to MLG Salisu is perfectly fine for Saints.

One thing is for sure, that Guido fella is going to stay our record signing for a long time.

Ralph clearly said the target is top 10 so you are admitting the pairing is not good enough.

We won’t be spending 15 million on a fourth choice centre back.

Of course he’s sure but it’s backed up by no real evidence that Salisu will be an adequate replacement all season. He may well do fine but the few games he has played at centre half for us do not confirm that. He was just as liable to a brain fart as the others and as Everton away showed was bullied by DCL.

So haven’t really seen us linked with any centre half’s but I would imagine they will want someone with a bit of experience. I know the resale value is key so who is likely to be available.
