    Idle hands

I'm pretty sute the same was being said about him when he was training with us. He was behind everyone else in fitness levels... Not sure now, just have that in my head.
  3. In - used to indicate inclusion within space, a place, or limits. Eg: walking in the park. Out - used to indicate movement or direction from the inside to the outside of something. Eg: He looked out the window. She ran out the door. All prepositionally of course
  4. Skacel hasn't even signed yet and you're marking him "out" already?
  5. I find this quite strange actually. Wilkins was supposed to be Assistant Manager and Chief Scout. The official site still say so, here http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1739664,00.html Paragraph 2.. "Wilkins, 47, joins Southampton as Assistant Manager and Chief Scout and brings with him a wealth of experience from his time as both a player and a coach."
  6. Am I the only one that thinks this is a bit of a non-story? I can't see anywhere in there where he's signed a new contract. He's just saying he fancies staying.
  7. How do you spell that noise where a crazy person rubs their finger over their lips... bibble bibble bibble bibble bibble?
  8. Last time there wasn't a sniff of a rumour we were signing a player, Dan Harding turned up on our doorstep out of the blue. I hope if they're the kind of end results we get from a lack of rumours that it keeps on going like that.
  9. Trousers, I'm wearing Trousers. And you probably don't know, probably don't know, probably don't know what they aaaaare! I'm Bart Simpson
  10. Give him a break, he's only a kid
  11. I'm sure he is, I was taking the ****
  12. Gavin Strachan and Blair Sturrock are on the list
  13. I think you'll find its based on his alledged comments saying he loves Saints and has unfinished business there? Whenever we've heard something like that before its basically been a come and get me plea.
  14. If the article is right that this company has been working with ML during the takeover, we've nothing to complain about so far. We've all been saying how open and honest everything is and how deals seems to be done without a single leak to the media. So maybe there's nothing to worry about A PR agency is more than just lies and spin. They will work to their clients specifications, which could simply be "We want everything communicated cleanly, quickly and in an honest manner, but we also want it done right which is why we're employing an agency"
  15. I'm in 2 minds about this actually. Part of me would welcome him back with open arms because of how well he played at CB for the couple of seasons in the Championship. I take the point that height is a necessity at this level, but I think intelligence can make up for the lack of height so Baird might be ok with regards that. However after we sold Baird I was talking to a friend of mine. He was asking me what do we need to do to improve, my reaction was to get rid of Lundekvam. This club had a losing mentality in the past. One that the long serving players seemed to be steeped in and Claus was the last link to that mentality. I felt there was too much of a risk of that seeping into new young players and staying around this club for longer. It was a mentality of "Ah, we're only Southampton, we're not supposed to do well". Almost a comfort zone for not performing. Would bringing Baird back allow that attitude back into the club? I know what people are going to say, "Did you not see how bad we were last year?" etc. But the majority of players we will keep haven't been here that long and can put the experience down to a bad season and move on. AP can reinstill the confidence and build a new Southampton FC. So yeah, leave the past in the past. There's plenty of center backs out there that have equal or better ability than Baird that we have as much of a chance of signing as we have him.
  16. I don't know DD. I'm not from the UK so wouldn't know that kind of thing off the to of my head. What I'm saying though is that seems to be the general feeling in the city
  17. Its because they have 2 clubs as far as I can see. My brother lived there for years, I've been around 15 times and the general impression is that if, somehow, City and Rovers could merge, the team would be big enough for the prem considering the support base they'd have
  18. Some people don't understand the theory of slowly building a successful team
  19. That's the bit you don't forgive him for in the season we got relegated? Wow Anyway. I think he's be a good signing... As DD says, it doesn't matter that he's played for us before.. and as for resigning our castoffs? If you can actually call him that, i'm sure reducing wages was part of the reason of getting rid of him at the time, but we are in a lower league than when we parted company with him remember. I seem to remember people complaining about him getting his 10 match ban "If he hadn't have been so stupid and been available for us, we might have stayed up" But now he's not good enough for League 1?
  20. I have to disagree with you here. I have always respected everyone's opinion on here, but in this case his "very weak" opinion is unsubstantiated. I am seriously interested in what appointment he would have been happy with, because I simply can't fathom the opinion he has expressed.
  21. You said you were disappointed in the appointment of AP. There must have been someone before today who was top of your list, or a group of managers, we just want to know who you wouldn't have been disappointed in
  22. And he would have been a better choice than Pardew in your opinion??
  23. This is the main real concern we have. Maybe we could get him to change his name to Curbishley and everyone would be happy
