Forum Match at SMS - ticket info now on first post!

The cameras for match recording were at the back of the Kingsland like for any tv recording, IIRC. As for blaming the balls, they were perfect. The problem anyone under 25 has nowadays is they expect to play with something cheap and plasticky that costs £10. I was appalled the one time I took a mid-priced £40 match ball to Fleming Park and the numpties preferred to use some blue balloon! Proper footballs aren't like that. -
Seeing as someone on another thread felt the need to ask what the timescales were regarding contract breaches and periods of notice, I'll just point out that it's captured above, and maybe start being less subtle about asking for this to be stickied.

Gosh, if only someone would put together a calendar with these kind of dates and deadlines on...
-
I already have a non-League team too, it was the last lot I supported in the Football League that went bankrupt.
-
Yup, in Estonia when they couldn't agree a kick off time. They replayed that. We can only hope...

There were initial inquiries made towards finding out whether it might be a possibility if Saints weren't able to take their place in the Football League. Only the people who made those inquiries will know - and I'm pretty sure any AFC Southampton-style team would have to start where all non-League teams start, around tier 5 of the pyramid. At that level there won't be much in the way of fan problems - FC United and AFC Wimbledon both began in feeder leagues at non-league step 4 at very best. I'm pretty sure it's not a possibility at the kind of notice required in order to factor a currently non-existent team into a League which publishes its fixtures in 7 days time, coinciding with the date on which we'll know whether we have any buyers or not. So that would leave maybe a couple of hours. If we don't start in League One this season we're not starting anywhere.

I've already signed, apparently...

I had a feeling someone was going to say that : http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/football-league/notts-county-finally-out-of-administration-575506.html Don't ask me how Notts Co did it... but the FL have changed the points deduction / admin / financial propriety rules at least twice since then (the held-over -10 and the new recent HMRC ruling) so it's possible this is no longer a viable timescale. We're sure as hell not getting the 18 months, anyway.

If he's got any sense at the rate this is all moving he's off negotiating a contract for a regular delivery of barrels.

Updates to calendar to add Fry's latest deadlines.

They've just done some roadworks and resurfacing, maybe they've put landing lights in and widened it ?

I can remember anyone saying Wilde was minted in the first place, but I do remember a load of discussions about whether they had promised investment or just promised to try and find investment in the "manifesto" which means it was out there from the start that Wilde may not have been putting in his own money.

Hee-hee, OW.

Maybe if I mentioned "I, lame hack, fail" is another anagram ? No ?
-
You get today's "I already saw it in two threads so it must be worth starting one about" non-story.
-
Fixed.

Strange how everyone wants to speculate, but no-one wants to contribute to something that might support informed debate, no ?

I have a bin-shaped filing cabinet under my desk awaiting it !

When it comes down to it, the "contingency plan" that pays the staff's wages is this week's "put up or shut up" - at least in the short term. -
Sack the Admin.

No idea, read it somewhere last week though. EDIT : Aha ! http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/4458386.Ex_Swindon_chief_suffered_6_months_of_administration/ and also here : http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/football_league/article1163199.ece As for the Police stuff, FA Cup replay dates were changed in... gulp... 1991/2 (!!!) but I can't find any hard and fast rules re: policing - I suppose logically they'd have to plan for the event and then if it's cancelled the additional police stand down - you can't assume the match won't happen just in case it does. At least we don't have any issues with the stadium being locked...

We saw it the first time.
