Everyone keeps saying "credit card" for the monthly payments, do they accept Debit Cards/DDs on the phone ?
-
Annoyingly I will be at Cardiff Airport on Tuesday, and in Spain by kickoff. If they'd played it on the Monday night I'd have been well chuffed. Going to Bjorn-mouth though.

If you could please tell them I don't want any pre-match, half-time, full-time or in-game entertainment other than 22 blokes running around a football pitch chasing a ball, and if they play music after the goals I will kill the hostages, that would be gratefully appreciated. Regards, The9

That's quite a frighteningly skewed view... especially "head says Keegan". As for trying to identify what it is that makes you feel Ferguson has an emotional long-standing love of Saints, I think you may have your head where your heart is and vice versa, you should get that looked at - and don't do any headers.

...and a bunch of seasons keeping Coventry in the Prem, until he had the team sold from under him.

Strachan by a million miles and then a street on top of that.

0% ? Ah, just saw the other post above.

I couldn't care less if they do, who needs them ?
-
Agreed. It's just another tier of bureucracy to pass the decisions through - only useful if the manager can't cope with all the demands on him - but I guess with the media requirements and sports science initiatives, plus a hundred and one other player related management issues, planning the training/coaching etc. there's enough work for a couple of people.

I'm about an 8/10 , we're still ten points behind Yeovil and the rest of League One, there's a chance of further points deductions (hopefully not) we don't know who's going to be manager and have a squad missing at least two of last season's regulars who were relegation fodder and haven't shown much pre-season. But then there's the 2.5billion quid, and my dirt-cheap ST, and a nice new yellow away kit on the way, and we've actually got a team to support still, so that's good.

Joe Jordan was at the Eastleigh match...

Check out the poll, minority report.

Saints refuse to deny Strachan at club last night

How much would it cost to sign Telfer and Paul Williams ? -
I'm not doing mine, a combination of expenditure hitting this month (which is one of the reasons I always did March Madness) means I'm going to see if a staggered payment is possible. Already forked out for 3 "one-off" payments this month.

Sounds like there's a drop down where you need to select your customer number. Though it might just be the system crashing. I'm going in person, to find out if they're doing the monthly finance thing and cos I'm going on holiday and moving house in the next 3 weeks and don't want my ST to go into the ether.
-
I don't think we need to be signing players who are clearly past it, so that rules out Savage, and especially Duberry, and who in their right mind would sign Bridges, who plays about 3 games a decade and hasn't done anything ANYWHERE since 2001 ? We may as well sign David Hirst again... or Geoff Hurst for that matter. You can stick Prutton on that list, and Oakley's another year on, though he did well last season in the same league. I'd like to see us sign someone like Gavin Mahon from Watford. I'm not quite sure why though, but he's like a Wotton who can pass. Oh, also, I heard Lloyd James had a six month extension to his contract...

I would suggest it'll be £350 more... :smt073

Did pretty well at Basle, too. I shouldn't think he'll want to come back though.
-
Yeah, but even though we're now showing signs of maybe being a chequebook club (well, Keegan's probably going to think that if he gets asked anyway), I'd still rather get in someone with some actual skill and managerial ability, rather than just picking and choosing a load of players to sign who are better than the rest of the division, which is all he did with those 3 clubs. His failure to win the Prem with Newcastle in the mid-90s with an open cheque book right after Dalglish succeeded with Blackburn shows he wasn't even that great at chequebook managing when he got to the top level, and his later spells in the Prem and as England boss marked him down as an enthusiastic trier who gave up too easily. Great player in his time, but management passed him by over 10 years ago, and if all we want to do is sling money at it, get a decent manager who can handle the players and has some persistence in instead.

Pretty sure a few people did last time.
-
Did Rupert write it ?
-
So, are we paying him shedloads like West Ham could have been, or were West Ham not really offering much and we matched it, saving him the hassle of relocation ? I bet Surman's sick this morning... not to mention Bart and/or Forecast. It's certainly a signal of intent from the owner, anyway, dragging the Player of the Season back from the brink of signing with a Premier League side.

We'll have to name someone in the number 7 shirt unless we're given permission to "retire" it, as FL rules state that squad numbers should be consecutive when submitted for the forthcoming season. Which is the reason why we had stupidity like Viafara wearing both the number 23 and 16 shirts, even though the kit was exactly the same both seasons, and Idiakez wearing 14 and 27... fat lot of good it did him. So, there WILL be a number 7, unless the League says we don't have to use it, or maybe if we actually register someone who isn't going to play to have the number... like, um, how about Le Tiss ? There are various teams in the lower leagues who've saved #12 for their fans though, so maybe we can do the same with 7, if we REALLY have to do something like this. Oh yeah, and Leeds retired number 15 when they had a 15 point deduction, how about we retire number 10, hell, Jermaine Wright's worn it... or er, God forbid maybe Poke might want to give up #25 ? And as we've been here before : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retired_numbers_in_association_football and http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/may/27/football-the-knowledge-retired-shirts

Plus he's a rubbish and ridiculously naive manager.

Strange, this is the first post I've seen about them practically all summer long.
