  1. I don't like custom fan kits, fakes, mockups, etc. FWIW there's absolutely no UA news whatsoever meriting a 2018/19 thread at the moment, haven't seen a single 2018 UA kit yet showing any new design features. Can't even be bothered to check if this season's Bournemouth third kit is based on an existing style or not. I don't recognise the collar, but it's been a while:
  2. Disappointingly they're already backing away from it with the club having made a statement on some Yorkshire radio station or other that clearly they haven't consulted for long enough.
  3. Well how are we going to get into Europe next season if we don't win the FA Cup?
  4. I like him slightly more since not disallowing Newport's winner against Leeds in the 3rd Round, but he's still the absolute nobber who shrugged his shoulders about some decision at Dean Court which at the time was completely out of order but now I can't even remember what it was about...

This sounds like the exact same story about the undersoil heating being built but not connected, so you'll forgive me for cynicism.
  6. Er, I will happily point out how very wrong everyone was about Puel face to face too.
  7. Completely agree with you FWIW.
  8. What's sportsmanship got to do with it? I once got sent off for pointing out the opposition's linesman was blatantly cheating on a number of not even close offside decisions, you'd have to ask him about sportsmanship...
  9. I think his protest is the work of a deranged megalomaniac, possibly with too much time on his hands. It's bloody embarrassing tbh.
  10. You must be going to the wrong bits. I was travelling on a train for an hour last weekend towards Grimsby and 55 minutes of that was just fields.
  11. And there was me thinking I'd spent the entire of last season defending Puel's decisions against halfwits with no alternative suggestions... Really impressed by the protests today by the way. So impressed the first I knew of them was 8 hours afterwards when I came on here.
  12. Well, it would have been groundbreaking if loads of other clubs weren't already doing it by then, yeah.
  13. I used to do a commute from south Wales, but that's only one return train. Apart from that one time when I was trying to get my Bucharest ticket and it took 8 hours there and back via Eastleigh for some reason due to weird train shenanigans. Still, got back in time to see Wales lose to Serbia in Cardiff that evening though. Also due to train times I always had to drive from south Wales for midweek games when I had my first ST in 2001/2 and despite sprinting to the car on the final whistle once had the joy of a 10 mph rolling roadblock for 5 miles on the A34 at around 11pm which stuck about half an hour on my journey time despite the road being completely empty in front of me... Honorable mention for walking all the way from Sports Centre when Lowe removed the free bus tickets, and somehow getting back to Hedge End with nothing resembling a weekend bus service after 5pm nowadays.
  14. Disagree, the guy makes runs left right and centre and continues to do so, we just don't play the direct passes he thrives on because we insist on playing it out wide before it goes back into the middle. I will say Austin seems to have thrived on the service from out wide more than Gabbiadini, but I think that's got a lot to do with the way the rest of the team has played on those occasions as well. That doesn't have to be about the manager, it was the pattern of play before him last season too and it seems obvious to me that most of our footballing ideology is guided by Les Reed.
  15. Gabbiadini has started 9 matches, 3 goals. W 2 D 4 L 3 (lost 33%) with him, Won 3 D 5 L 8 (lost 50%) without him. He's hardly had much of an opportunity and I'd say we looked like a much better side with him in it against West Ham, Newcastle, West Brom, Brighton and even Burnley (who never should have won that match). Conversely, goalless draws home to Swansea, away to Huddersfield and the defeat home to Watford didn't make anyone look very good. The other match was Chelsea away.
  16. Thanks for the thought, this is the first time I've been on here since, but it'll have to be in the 5th Round . BTW I'm going to Newport v Spurs (£30 and a 50% hike on usual home prices) rather than Saints v Watford (£12 and a 200% reduction from usual home prices). And I went to Grimsby on Saturday (11 hours on a train there and back) instead of Watford too. County's much more fun at the moment.
  17. Deliberately kicked him, red card. Any fule no you pull them back in midfield, bolted on yellow, playbreaker. When we got caught on the break one time I held onto someone's shirt with two hands with him dragging me along a muddy pitch waterski-style until the ref finally tired of trying to play advantage and booked me.
  18. No, no he doesn't.

    Les Reed

(Mane) "Gives us some pace that we desperately need to move teams around" - and now here's me pointing out that we don't have a player that can do that and we're terribly predictable and easy to defend against. Though we have scored in 6 of the last 8 games...
  20. Google+ is still alive?
  21. Pretty sure he's after some photographic evidence rather than a remade assimilation which is lacking a lot of the detail of the kit. I'd be guessing he almost certainly knows of these sites already too (except maybe the last one which rips an image directly from the source anyway which is here)... If it's any help there's a 1940s home shirt team photo here: which also shows the double collar on some of the players, appears to be from 47/48: but I guess that's what you're referring to above?
  22. He tangibly knows nothing about anything every time I see him express an opinion, harsh to blame alcohol for someone's outright ignorance.
  23. I'd be very surprised if we lose to Palace and he isn't sacked - though I think the problems are higher up and Pellegrino might be ok if he was allowed his ideas. This is based on nothing other than similarities with certain tendencies last season and the fact there's only one common factor though.
  24. I think he's superb, he's even been good for us this season, making some key blocks. He's still not worth £75m even with 4½ years on his contract, but hey, they're paying it. Alderweireld was still better for us. As for how he does for Liverpool, I'd like his legs to fall off on Wednesday next week. I think their fans will slaughter him for being lazy because of his laid back mannerisms and tendency to switch off a little when things are going well, but we can all hope he Lovrens it up massively. As an aside, his at the time absolutely inexplicable step upfield at Anfield to basically create a simple channel to allow them to score should now lead to a life ban (after we've got the money, of course). That was the only time this season I thought he wasn't giving his all for the first team, and what a coincidence.
  25. Nah, we should be at least 11th with this lot.
