We are ridiculously full of midfield options, just not "good" midfield options. We've become noticeably better at not conceding goals since Lemina came back in for the overrated Hojbjerg too. We could do worse than going back to a conventional 4231 with Romeu and Ward-Prowse sitting and playing Lemina in the hole where he might actually attack the box.

Nine floors. NINE. I know because I've only ever used the disabled lift, thanks to the company I keep.

We'd be 5th.

Apart from the ability to review decisions for accuracy, which makes it a completely different set of rules.

What a melon. Literally the only time the match COULDN'T happen.

Do you think Kat gives a monkeys about ruining her father's legacy

I'd be surprised to see Pied go tbh, though maybe we've got plans for Valery, or think Stephens can cover RB as well... also I'd be quite surprised to see Ben Cull released following his illness, but I've got no idea how he's been doing since he got the all-clear, so might be wishful thinking on my part. Always amused by these threads when people say who they want to release without any consideration of existing contract duration.

Oh that's not how football works any more. Forster will get signed by some numpties like West Ham who haven't been paying any attention whatsoever, and McCarthy will stick around.
-
I don't see why not, I was always hopeful he'd reflect his previous stats for Saints and he's clearly our best keeper. His xS stats showed that before he even signed for us.

On the contrary, it shows the nobheads are still in the minority. There are still a few of them out there though, booing our players during matches, sarcastic cheering them, booing backwards passes, all that stuff. Also, no-one gives a toss if you protest or not any more. The board is motivated by Premier League tv money, and to get that they need to be in the Premier League, so therefore they are only going to act in what they think is the best interest of the club. For me, complaining about a season where everyone below 8th is in a relegation battle is just... stupid. Also, it's the structure and lack of change from a system that's previously been successful for us that's underpinning the mediocrity, quite a difficult thing to complain about. Anyone having a pop at Reed is going to get battered with "same stuff got us to Europe two years running" and anyone attacking the manager knows it's futile because if he was getting sacked it was in January after Palace, and Krueger specifically moved to quell those ideas before the result, showing that he wasn't going anywhere. Plus the last sacking was in response to protests, and has clearly not been an improvement.

Which they are. Pretty much everywhere I look. Other than in the stadium.

A lot of people think Cortese is a helmet, it has practically no bearing on anything that's happened in the past 4 years other than us having to pay off his loan overheads rather than maybe improving the playing squad with that money for the first few years of it.

It's probably because the people who were mouthing off about Puel last year have seen things regress thanks entirely to their complaints, and lots of people who might actually think this manager isn't any good don't want to be seen to be supporting the same thing as them this time around. The online version of them are also the reason loads of people don't bother coming on here any more. FWIW I had the "pleasure" of listening to two absolute tossers yelling abuse at Jack Stephens on the weekend as they made their way out from the back of Northam Block 42 just because he happened to be the nearest player, handing his shirt to some kid. Given that he'd just kept a clean sheet, I can safely say they did not have a ferking clue what they were talking about.

Just for the record, if we'd scored one more goal in each of this season's draws we'd be 5th and above Chelsea. Margins and all that. Makes me laugh when people claim they're chucking it in because of "the Premier League", when we've been in it for 5 years. Wasn't a problem when we were winning lots more. I've had mine since the first Championship season after relegation, and if I don't renew it's because I'm fed up of not being able to get sh*tfaced on Saturdays due to games moving, and because I've been to every away ground in the top two divisions at least once already. I am vaguely bored at matches at the moment, but that's probably because most of what I've enjoyed about football recently has absolutely nothing to do with anything that's happened on the pitch, far more about people I've met. Oh, and Champions League money is an absolute pittance compared to the Premier League tv deal, so it really isn't anything to do with that across Europe.
-
And they do. If you don't mind a £35 admin fee. Of course we have new ownership since the last ST renewal...

Watford are the 7th best team in this division this season when their manager hasn't had his head turned and they don't have a pile of injuries and suspensions. They stuffed us at St Mary's.

Don't get me wrong, I like throwing together mock-ups of actual kits from actual rumours and information (I prefer the FC12 FM template, for the record, nice clean lines), I just cba with all the nonsense with "what would x's kit look like with y's branding on it?" because it's completely pointless. If it's an actual kit that might exist, I'm all for someone putting together a decent version of what it might look like. I did all the kit designing scribbles in school and painting Subbuteo teams too.

It's not live on tv so I'm expecting us to wear what the U23s wore against them last week, which was what MLG shared above.

Given that the problem has always been the lack of supply to the striker I'm not even sure why anyone would think there would be any difference. He's basically a slightly taller Gabbiadini with all the same "no-one passes to me" problems, and he hasn't had Redmond popping through balls in for him like Gabbiadini had for the first month before we reverted to type and went back to playing it wide every single time.

Would Puel still have been sacked if we'd won the Cup?
The9 replied to Bad Wolf's topic in The Saints
No, because all of the dullard meatheads booing him would have been placated by the cup win. -
Ooh, and an ideal opportunity to shoehorn Newport County in once more. I went to Roots Hall to see Southend lose to County in the Carabao Cup back in August...

Christ, Plymouth were looking like dead certs to go down too, they were 23rd in November!
-
I don't think I've ever heard them sing anything about taking our players, and it's been going on for 4 years since Summer Meltdown I so they've had plenty of opportunity.

Wasn't there an entire thread monitoring the whereabouts of our ex-Academy players? The answer will probably be in there.
