  1. Last time I saw him play he let in ten. Mind you we had me playing immediately in front of him and only 6 other players.
  2. Shinner...!!! Oh I wish I still had the stills I lifted from the DVD of that moment...
  3. He'll make you a puppet if you give him an extra quid.
  4. None of those three pieces of information is strictly accurate, though over-estimating my age by a whole year is clearly either a rubbish joke or you think I'm much younger than that
  5. Yeah, at least we haven't lost control of which thread to post appropriate replies on though...
  6. I am gradually losing the feeling in my body through what appears to be nerves, which is frankly bizarre and unwarranted. I'll be alright when I get out there though.
  7. You mean "everyone's pretty cr@p and will be knackered after 5 minutes", right ? I watched the game from Bournemouth last night and it was like walking pace with hacks ahoy, and that was probably better than tonight's standard ! As for "ageing strikeforce" Bolo, I shall stop just short of calling you a cheeky ****, true or not
  8. It'll be on my tv, but I'd wait for the DVD release if I was you. Golden Balls and Simon Richards are still waiting for me to copy them the DVD of the Saints Forever v Red n Black match from Fitness First Stadium in 2004/5, so don't ask me to copy you one... ...though I did watch it last night
  9. I'm not worried, I've got at LEAST one sock for tonight, AND (ha!) a pair of shorts.
  10. I was working more on the principle of "stay on my feet if running in on goal at all costs, there is zero chance of anyone getting sent off in this match".
  11. Given the intense and specific nature of my pre-match prep you'll no doubt be delighted to hear that the new Wetherspoons in Eastleigh failed to meet my dietary requirements at lunchtime and gave me a refund and eventually a free (but half cold) meal, following my own efforts at complaining. I do now have 8 bottles of Powerade thanks to a Tesco deal on multipacks though, so not all of the pre-match is going awry. PS Facebook tells me Stevegrant is at home awaiting a parcel, you'd better hope that's not your socks!
  12. I heard they were both going to be in attendance. Surely the "Canon" would be better suited to a longer range shot ?
  13. I will have my red and white tie on especially.
  14. Also goes for people who stand at zebra crossings having conversations whilst looking like they might possibly cross. I shall add "people who tell me 'wrestling is fake'" to my list. Because I already know that, and a ton more about it than they do I just want to know why they don't bother telling me Coronation Street is "fake" as well? Oh, hang on, that's not really a "things people get wrong" is it ? I'll tell you what I hate, thread drift.
  15. My English teacher used to say it, and she was actually quite well educated. She taught us for "A"-level Lit and GCSE Language, too. Used to drive me menthol.
  16. I am getting out for my lunch now to ensure the necessary 3 hour gap between food and exercise... contemplating what I should eat.... as I've left my drinks at home I'll have to buy some of those too.
  17. Bundle Summeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs !!!!!!!!!!!
  18. People who don't indicate at junctions, and even people who do it when they think there are no other cars around and don't need to. I still want to see you indicate, as you never know who might need to urgently know where you're going, even if you can't see them. It's not just for cars, there could be cyclists or pedestrians affected. Those f'ckers who take the shortest route across roundabouts, especially when there are cars on their inside - and especially at the top of the Avenue coming off the M3. People who know more about grammar than I do being bothered about stuff that I get wrong, particularly as I'm a grammar nazi myself. Idiot's putting God-damned apo'strophe's everyba'stardwhere. If you dont know how to u'se them in the fir'st place, at lea'st dont ''show your'self up even more by ju'st putting them everywhere you 'see an '"s". It i's a hundred time's more annoying than ju'st omitting it in the fir'st place, not that that make's it right either. Or heres an idea, read 'something and learn to do it correctly.
  19. Duly noted. This could cost you a couple of hundred if the standard is Fleming Park kickabout level..!
  20. We're not even the first game to happen there since the Burnley match, so I hope it's been sorted... you also might want to allocate the blame for the cost at the turds who actually took/broke the stuff in the first place (and smashed up some of the the toilets in the Northam home section apparently) too.
  21. Goddammit, that's ruined the one I already had planned... Ok, it'll be a bundle then - if it happens...
  22. Blimey, are there staples ? Will you miss kick off folding the sheets together ?
  23. Obviously a chunk of the ones he "almost" scored were penalties too. I am staggered that anyone on here thinks Euell had anything but a decent season. He was superb in a few games, especially when Wotte first took over, putting himself about, holding the ball up and linking play in situations which allowed us to attack quickly, rather than when there were 8 defenders back. I think Gillet deserves some credit for his performances towards the end of the season too, having started ok and then lost the plot for a bit he came back and played much better - he hasn't had much credit for putting himself on the line when injured late on in the season either. The releases of Hatch and Imudia suggest to me that we're confident Lloyd James will be staying, because I'm pretty sure we won't be relying on Jake Thomson at right back next season - right midfield maybe. I'm looking forward to seeing Gobern get a decent run in the side too, looked class for the reserves and didn't get the chance to get involved earlier in the season. I think potentially he could be the most valuable of our current squad.
  24. More than happy for you to cull my honours heavily! Won't say "I told you so" regarding limited space either. What post number was it again ? Just checked, #350.
  25. On the subject of releases, I'm glad we can save on Rudi's wages, but I'm still bewildered as to why we rarely played him in his actual position, and to some extent why people keep slating him for not being the Second Coming when he was clearly played out of position for getting on for 2 years, yet did a good job there. Can't blame him for not wanting any part of League One, he's at worst a top 10 CCC player. Hatch I thought looked very lightweight every time I saw him though he's a good ball player and quick - but even Jake Thomson looked stronger. Imudia I'm surprised at releasing, he showed promise early in pre-season and has the physical attributes, but also showed a tendency towards inconsistency that a defender can't afford to have - having said that I've rarely seen him play at CB except against Swansea reserves and I think Winchester, and that's meant to be his position!
