Clearly the only way to go would be to take our red and white shirts, their normal white shorts (I'm feeling generous) and their red socks... we could have a blue away kit, say two tone navy and sky with a broad stripe ?
-
Can we stop assuming Portsmouth want anything to do with our debt now? They have enough of their own don't they ?

There's a big difference between just running things and owning the thing you're running... ...though I don't think Lowe will be involved again anyway.

Speaking as a Newport County (1912-1989) fan who is yet to see the reformed club come within one division of where the club was in its final full season, no, it would not. Also, I'd be interested to see the response of the rest of the non-League community if we completely bypassed their pyramid, "big crowds" or not...
-
Congratulations, you must be very pleased.

Pretty much everyone had a yellow/blue away kit by 1979, you can add Arsenal, Spurs, Ipswich, Leeds and numerous others to that list as well. Man U away yellow/blue was 1971 as seen here : http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Manchester_United/Manchester_United-change-kits.html

Actually there are practically none left at the Mega Store, we were shifting them at a reduced price because the club was going bankrupt at a great rate and selling the stock off at an accelerated rate was one way of raising some money. Previous years have seen the away kits selling for £10 come June/July, that wasn't an option this time. We did probably also buy far fewer of them in the first place than usual and we haven't got a third kit either, but that just reflects a shrunken fanbase rather than being any commentary on the kit.

Well, that's 3 people in a row that have said we passed sideways and lacked penetration...

Too slow on the break once Holmes got injured and no-one in the box between September and February to convert the stuff we did create. I can't think of more than a couple of occasions where we actually played a successful through ball from a midfielder to a striker in the whole season. Long and short of it was away we were able to catch teams on the break due to having our wide players pushed up, but at home we were too slow to exploit openings, keeping possession in unthreatening areas or crossing it to no-one, and teams got men back which made it much more difficult. That and missing a sh1tload of chances late in the season. There were loads of reasons, but trying to break down ten defenders by passing it sideways and your alleged striker not making runs into space are probably the main ones.

Fry's Q&A says if admin fails "it is likely that the FC will enter insolvency": http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11582 Likely, though admittedly not definite... but it is by definition UNlikely that the FC isn't bought and isn't closed down, which is the most likely circumstance in which a CVA is needed. More to the point, if we get to the state where it's no club at all or some kind of rubbish desperate last minute takeover chaos, leading to a failed CVA, return of the golden share, another -15 and limping through League One, I think most people would take the latter and be glad of it by then.
-
What are you basing that on ? The risk is that the takeover doesn't come in time to save the club but it shouldn't affect an additional points deduction either way unless the FC is suddenly required to agree a CVA - despite not being in Admin.

I do like the Patrick Retro style, especially as Umbro just did the same with Birmingham last season and the season before. It would sell shedloads as long as they got the colours right.
-
I'd take minus 25 over not existing.

Spades, nice designs, but unlike previous years we KNOW (ITIAC*) we'll get an Umbro kit, and we know Umbro will only have maybe three templates which our change colours will fit. Nice stuff using various other designs but even if we end up in yellow there's no way it will be any of these designs. Might be better throwing together some alternative colourschemes in recent and new Umbro templates. *If there is a club...

Yippee, a tactically naive and often clueless proven quitter who has walked out of his last few jobs, just what we need... That Jose Mourinho was a hell of a player. Roy Hodgson too.

He's a Leyton Orient fan according to Wikipedia. Make your own jokes... Also, having seen his football-and-Belfast-troubles based musical The Beautiful Game in the West End during its extremely brief run in 2000/1, I'd have guessed he wasn't a football fan either.
-
Despite most of them getting them promoted the last time around and being good enough to be in their Premier League squad just under a year ago... ...they are obviously cutting costs in line with their second year of CCC status - as we should have done. As for ANY of them other than maybe the possibly past it Murty coming to Saints at the moment, you're having a laugh.
-
Brilliant to see all the nobbers having a pop at people for having the temerity to discuss football-related things rather than bloody takeovers for the moment. Apart from it being a bit of welcome relief, anyone who'd actually bothered to read the thread would see the odd "IF we exist" scattered in amongst the designs and wants. Still, some people just want to be miserable... Anyway, back to planning my takeover...
-
They looked pretty bloody miserable winning the FA Cup in 2003, come to think of it.
-
God, yawn. "Waaah waaah waah, people get paid more money than me".
-
You won't see me arguing against an Amber kit

Or he could be face down in a ditch, but certainly optimistic thinking.

"Rule 606" ?

Keep them, if we go bust they'll be worth millions. Then you could sell them and invest them in... um... ah.
