  1. Tbf amateurs with photoshop don't have to meet the daft ar5e Premier League regulations or come up with 7 different shirts that are different enough to all sell individually. Though if UA don't manage a candy-stripes kit at some point they're missing a trick. Anyway, the red and black training shirts and tracksuit top look nice.
  2. I agree they should have sold the three third kits we have had in the past 4 years that didn't go on sale. Would have saved me over £700 for a start. I voted btw.
  3. Your poll doesn't prove your point either way. You're asking which people would rather buy, not which they want for the home kit.
  4. It's definitely not a fake.
  5. Just another concept kit, anyone can do them. The shorts leaked above all but confirm an away in yellow and blue.
  6. Nope, you can see it on the tape inside the collar. They always have a marketing slogan every year, there was Heart and Home or whatever it was, also The Southampton Way, a few ST agitating slogans which change, this one is more a corporate ethos (like Spurs have To Dare Is To Do), it'll change a lot less frequently than whatever they dream up to flog STs every year.
  7. Yeah, it doesn't look anything like that. The collar is a different shape, the shoulder piece is a completely different position, the stripes go further up the shirt, there's no contrast cuff or Under Armour on the sleeves, there's a break in the stripe rather than a shape for the UA logo, and the stripes and pinstripes are different colours and different thicknesses. But other than that, spot on comparison.
  8. Do you mean you think its fake or that you think the third shirt is fake? Neither are fake.
  9. There's a "tape" across the arms and shirt which cuts the shoulder piece from the striped front, three separate pieces of material. Guess they'll screen print the front onto white material and use red material for the tape and the shoulder parts. The tape/band across the shirt is in line with the AZ shirt that's already been released.
  10. It would actually look better if they'd left the hexagon shape entirely surrounding the UA logo.
  11. And of course this confirms the Premier League has indeed gone the full monty with their implementation of the (6 years old) UEFA kit regulations, because that contains a load of stuff about lumins and degrees of contrast and really doesn't like striped shirts at all. It probably rules out us wearing yellow against teams in white. We saw it in effect in Europa League when Sparta wore yellow at home against Saints because their dark red was too similar in colour to our red/white AND too similar in shade to our black away?! Not new, just new for the Premier League - and has been rumoured for the past two years. There's a link earlier in this thread. FWIW I think the regulations are unnecessary and completely OTT but it does give a mathematical calculation of percentage of shirt shade compared to opposition and stuff like that.
  12. There's a "shape" around the "lozenge" tag thing they put on the bottom of the replica kits too. It was circular last year. At least that's consistent.
  13. Can't fault the ITK above about both home and third having a red back, but the question about the third kit being so similar... yeah, now it makes very little sense. Third will be used against Fulham, Spurs, Brighton, Huddersfield and Newcastle I guess, leaving the yellow away for teams in plain red shirts. Yellow at Palace with alternate shorts maybe? Haven't seen the away shirt yet though... But clearly yellow/blue based on those change shorts. Still assuming, as no socks either, but will they even sell a third kit shorts and socks? Likely to be red shorts and white or red socks depending on what colour the home ones are. That UA logo looks, er, "sub-optimal" but I like the rest of it (apart from the plain back of course). They keep doing OK but could be better with a tiny bit of consideration.
  14. Uuuuuuge kit. The best.
  15. He was our best defender precisely because the rest of them were so consistently bad. It didn't take much. I'll be waiting with interest to see our formation next season as it's a key pointer of whether Hughes will be doing things his way or (ahem) The Southampton Way. He won player of the month for April too, so he must have been doing something right. Agree that it's "slim evidence" at this stage though.
  16. Tbf he had a concussion and missed the last game, and went off injured in the one before it (thus turning the game in our favour). He's been our best defender this season, though he needs a run of games to see if he's the real deal or if he's just playing out of his skin.
  17. I'd be surprised if the home kit isn't just a predominantly white version of the red third, with black pinstripes between the red and white stripes. Keep hearing the away is yellow and blue, and if that's the same style too it'll look decent in either stripes or yellow with blue pinstripes. CBA to throw something into the mock-up machine at the moment...
  18. Why would you want a source for UEFA's kit regulations that isn't UEFA's kit regulations?
  19. Niemi Clyne Fonte Alderweireld Bridge Schneiderlin Romeu Le Tissier Mane Bale Shearer Subs: Pre-injury Forster, M Svensson, Van Dijk, Tadic, Pelle, Wanyama.
  20. Wish I'd had your foresight - my FB memories for early June are full of "Lallana won't answer the phone to Saints" stuff along with a lot of "he's not going anywhere" comments, can't remember if Lovren's hairdresser had dropped him in it by then but by the time he screwed up for Croatia against Brazil I was laughing at him, Lambert went on 2nd June but with little to suggest he'd leave beforehand other than his decline, Chambers was completely unexpected opportunism on his part, and Shaw seemed likely but was maybe going to stay a bit longer first. Not sure it was "inevitable" at all, if anything it was unprecedented - Pochettino's book suggests he knew plenty had made plans and that's why he went to Spurs, but we mostly didn't see the scale of the dismantling coming.
  21. Pardew being Pardew and making a point about subs to free up some transfer funds. Back 4 of Harding, Thomas, Lancashire and Lloyd James. Ollie Lancashire somehow back-passed the ball from near the half-way line and conceded a corner at one point. Must have impressed Swindon though, he was there last season... By the time we won our first league game (8th league match of the season), we had Harding, Thomas, Jaidi and Neal Trotman back there. Looking back it's bizarre to realise that Lambert, Rasiak and Saganowski all played on the pitch at the same time, as did Saganowski, Waigo and Matt Paterson... in a team in the third tier also featuring Schneiderlin and Lallana. The REALLY nuts thing is that our first L1 win was against Yeovil, featuring Steven Caulker in defence for them.
  22. I have the joy of starting to watch Saints in the early 90s under Branfoot, so I'm going for the Championship promotion season. We were good in L1 but we were unexpectedly good in that Championship season. Koeman's first season came close, even though we finished higher the year after we were up in the top 4 into February (25 matches of 38 played), especially nuts as it followed the meltdown. A run of 8 wins out of 9 including the 8-0 thrashing of Sunderland, sticking six on Villa, three wins in a row against Arsenal, Man U and Newcastle (two away). We finished with 5 defeats in 8 and still came 7th with a shout of 5th until the final day. And ending up with a place in the Europa League qualifiers.
  23. Hardly "rumoured" if it's been posted on UA's eBay site with a full description of what it is! And as already mentioned, if the back of the home shirt is plain white, it'll clash with a bunch of teams who wear white shirts (eg Spurs, possibly Huddersfield and Brighton depending on their shirt backs next season) - the yellow/blue rumoured (no source or images yet) away isn't hugely different either and as all three of those teams wear blue with white they may not want to mix kits so (along with the possible need to change socks against various white/red teams, and the need to change shorts in the Cups), a third kit using complementary colours from the home shirt makes sense.
  24. Other than the one I already posted that you ignored, you mean?
