Though as I'm barely even paying attention to the EFL and FA Cups, never mind the EFL Trophy...

Blackpool rebuilt stand 4 on the cheap and it has pillars, the other 3 sides are basically mini St Mary's. Can't remember if Walsall has pillars at Bescot but I think it does, another near the 30 year mark, the 30 year cutoff rules out Glanford Park by a couple of years which is annoying. Exeter may also have done this but not in either of their two most recently rebuilt stands. That's enough of that anyway, they did well just putting a roof on it and refurbing the loos 3 years ago - I thought the big Saints logo in the away loos was a bit much tbf, it wasn't there for Newport County's numerous League 2 away wins.

Well this is a blast from the past... Hi, impressed I got a name check, I had a good look, ego being what it is. Just(ice) Mike and particularly Arizona I see now and then, last I heard Ferndown worked in Lebanon or Syria or both, which is probably still better than Aberystwyth. The Leandre Griffit guy was Greenwich, later Greedyfly. I am fairly sure Paul Chuckle hates me (it is at the v least highly awks) but I haven't forgiven him for John Cena 2008 yet anyway. All the 1231 kos in round 3 were overseas tv only, including Millwall v Newport (which I went to instead of Saints v whoever oh yeah Huddersfield). Still managed to get 10 Saints aways on my record this season though.

Yeah, it's definitely not a loyalty thing. I've done 86 of the 90 now and plenty of those have been watching other teams (including a trip past Leicester to S****horpe on Saturday). The bestestest fans are the ones who move to Southampton from someone else, FACT and also TIED nyah-nah.

Walker-Peters was the 22nd-best player on the pitch against Newport County in the FA Cup 4th Round in 2018/19 and I don't think he's improved since. I wouldn't touch him with a 50ft pole.

Dunno what the panic is tbh, we've beaten the likely bottom half sides and lost to likely top half ones. We'll lose the next 3, I'll only start thinking we're in trouble if we can't beat Watford and Norwich at home, chance for points home to Everton too, I'd say Newcastle away but we seem to get jet lag on that one or something. There are 14 teams in this relegation battle, we're on a par with most of them. We could do with Djenepo back sharpish though and a change of tactics to... anything else... at home.

Seems fairly obvious his strategy is to reinvest profits into the playing staff in the summer whilst not paying enough to get enough good players to win games consistently, and spend a bit more if it looks like we're in relegation trouble...

Chose this username 13 years ago in anticipation of this historic event. Ok, not really... I find blaming the manager for his players and the club's recruitment being crap and blaming the goalkeeper for the defence offering him zero protection frankly bewildering. Hojbjerg can F U C K OFF though, I've never seen a less competent player promoted beyond his abilities. Terrible defensive midfielder always the wrong side, chips crappy forward balls that strikers have little chance of controlling, never mind doing anything with. Get Redmond in as the captain, he was the only one putting in a shift til the end tonight. May as well promote another bunch of kids, it seemed to work last season.

It's pretty obvious from the Burnley and Wolves flags that were completely ignored that the ref is also choosing not to follow the assistant's lead, but to play on after obvious fouls just in case. There has even been a goal allowed after the whistle was blown this season which should be an absolute no-no, whether the defence can influence the attack or not.

We're up 8-1 on formal VAR reviews so far - not having the Wolves penalty overturned was the first one of those we haven't had in our favour. It's still awful, useless and unnecessary however they implement it. They're implementing it very badly though.

We used to do that in two minutes in the Chainrai era.

Ings is our best player, created SO many chances last season that we preceded to miss. Led in key passes per game by a mile. I think Adams was being hung out to dry by the pattern of play yesterday, he's doing far too much outside the box and as usual we're not getting enough players forward to support the striker(s) and give them a chance to do something without two players on them.

He's ALWAYS tracked back and pressed, it has always been forum b011ocks that he didn't. The problem before was apparently his attitude off-pitch, not his ability on it. He did more in one shot against Sunderland and one dribble against West Brom two years ago than Elyounoussi did in the entire of last season. He also had the most successful dribbles of any player in the major leagues in Europe last season for Celta. If we can't find a way to use him we may as well give up. Condolences to the guy for his father's passing.

Being drunk in a football stadium has been an offence since at least the mid-1980s, persistent standing against ground regulations since the early 90s, we've had a text number for reporting incidents for at least 5 years. Been in and bought a pink keeper shirt and third shirt this morning. Both have patches on for the sponsor logo. Oh and no £5 gift vouchers this season, £49.50 with a ST discount, £55 without.

Not necessarily, we can still sell or loan anyone to any teams in countries where the window hasn't closed (or in his case League One or Two as well). I suspect we've got at least one over 23 ready to be shipped out to solve our too many players for a squad issue - and we'll find out who it is when the squad lists are published. Carrillo is currently about 5th choice striker plus there are U-23 options who would probably have more impact so I wouldn't be that surprised if he wasn't on it.

I mean, he does know the industry pretty well... The two rumours I'd heard a month or two ago were that the red dye was running and the logo wouldn't stay on. As UA are happy to sell ad-free shirts the only place the red could be running is into the logo - I seem to recall we had a bit of a problem with that happening with one of the "white patch" sponsor shirts in the late 00s, it could be both things. I wouldn't be surprised if the workaround on home kit is to print directly onto the white and on the away to just print a different colour sponsor logo as they have (successfully) with the training kit. The third kit is probably available tomorrow because it's white and there are no colours to run into it OR they planned to produced them later knowing they could launch after the other two kits, and avoided the logo problem altogether by (again), printing the contrast colour straight onto the shirt without the surround. This is all speculation on my part and it'll be interesting(ish) to see whether the third shirt has a sponsor patch (like the ones in the club shop windows) or just the straight on print.
