  1. It was about £23m with add-on's, I read.
  2. One more in by the end of the month, that's crap, it's all about how much profit ours owners can make it's clear, buy cheap, get them on a big contract and sell to the highest bidder. We need to push on, never mind mocking glass ceilings being shattered, here's it's more akin to the sound of a broken bottle. We're still behaving like a feeder club despite having mega rich owners, which is disappointing to say the least.
  3. I really like the look of Ziyech, that would be an amazing piece of business getting him at such a low price, I can't see him leaving for that much though.
  4. Real Madrid aren't in for Pogba anymore, it looks like he's going to united.
  5. They haven't spent nothing, it might not even exist, maybe it was papertalk?
  6. Obscene amounts of money being thrown around by everyone this year.
  7. This would be a massive statement of intent signing him.
  8. Stones had an awful year last year and £50m is a good price, besides by selling him, it's a way of getting around FFP, which means they can bring in more players or better players because the wage bill will rise. Lukaku looks likely to stay.
  9. I should imagine the sale of Bolasie will go some way to funding that, Liverpool will do well to get that for him, he's a great player but that's alot of money for a player who didn't have such a great season.
  10. If Palace can put in really high bids for players I don't see why we can't, that's what I'm basing it on and the fact that he's surplus to requirements at United. There's no need with the tv money to be shopping in a bargain basement so why not? Maybe try for Morgan too.
  11. It might be worth a bid for Mata.
  12. In a second rate league, how the hell is he going to attract any decent names here, it's a backward step.
  13. The Guardian are saying £30m too. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/jun/24/liverpool-sadio-mane-southampton-close-signing?CMP=share_btn_tw
  14. I can't believe we bought him for around the £12m mark and we're selling him at a loss, Spurs have had our pants down here.
  15. Really? Worthington Cup 2001 FA Cup 2001 UEFA Cup 2001 FA Charity Shield 2001 UEFA Super Cup 2001 Worthington Cup 2003
  16. Make no bones about it, Spurs have got the better deal and yet again we've shown we are unable to hang onto quality players. To move onto the next level you have to make a player want to stay and refuse to sell otherwise every year we'll find ourselves in this position.
  17. That's a temporary measure until they sort out their new ground though, the new one will probably be around 55,000 from what people are saying.
  18. Quique Sánchez Flores named new head coach of Espanyol • Flores joins La Liga club on a three-year contract • Spaniard left Watford at the end of last season https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/jun/09/quique-sanchez-flores-named-new-watford-head-coach?CMP=share_btn_tw
  19. We all said that about the manager and we have been touting him for Arsenal and Barcelona.
  20. They finished fifth three seasons ago before Martinez was found out, I'm sure Koeman could do a better job than Martinez did in the last two seasons with the players and additions to the squad.
  21. I think FDB is nailed on, he's desperate to manage in England.
  22. According to this article we might be getting your old manager David Moyes. http://www.itv.com/news/meridian/update/2016-06-05/koeman-on-the-brink-of-leaving-southampton/
  23. His job is clearly to leave Everton in a strong position, if he does that and raises the clubs profile while a new stadium is being put in place then Everton themselves will be in a great position to attract a strong manager every time, I'm sure their club is aware of that. If Barcelona come calling you leave, no matter what club you're at.
  24. It's clear that Koeman does and he likes what he sees. The owner has only been in since March and he's paying massive wages to the new manager, making money available and he's in talks about a new state of the art 55,000 seater stadium on the waterfront. That's real ambition being shown in what is only a few weeks in which he's been the majority shareholder. We simply can't match that or our owners aren't willing to.
  25. It seems clubs let us see if players and managers can establish themselves in the Premier League and then step right in and take them off us. It seems Europe and finishing higher than Everton meant zilch, I think the angst is a sudden realisation that we're not quite where we think we are in Premier League standings, it feels like a rude awakening if I'm being honest.
