"All the fans" being pertinent. Not sure preferiential treatment of one stand is the correct move when season ticket holders aren't paying any extra for the privilege. 4-6 goals a season for a wide attacking midfielder is our level in the Premier League. That's generally what Tadic got for us, S.Armstrong got for us, Ramirez, Redmond...ect I'm not suggesting I'm gutted to have missed out on him or anything like that but he was a realistic target on a free that C(have)DAJFU. His numbers are about the same as a peak Redmond which is probably the best we could realistically get on our budget. On a free, it seems a very sensible move on Leicester's part. I'm happy for us to aim higher but I doubt we will.

If it's Moonpig, it could to be a white vinyl block reminicent of the Flybe sponsor. Perhaps more likely, a red block like depicted on the Saints website, which would not be too dissimilar to the Virgin Media shirt sponsor we had. It will look tacky either way.

What role would he play here? Certainly not the Downes role. I'd expect players in the Smallbone and Aribo roles to provide some goals and assists as well as have some athleticism about them (making runs from the midfield and tracking back when the opponent beats the high press we utilise). If Brighton played him deeper, it rather suggests he can't effectively play the advanced roles anymore. Somebody made the argument it doesn't matter if he can only play 60 minutes because we rotate our front 3 anyway but he won't be in our front 3.

Further cons: 30 appearances in all competitions last season with a grand total of 0 goals 1 assist. Likely 2 year contract for a 36 year old that can't finish 90 minutes now Signing on fee and high wages when we're clearly working to a limited budget
