He does get his back up at the most trivial things. He's got a touch of Strachan about him but without the wit. Anyway, left back really did go badly last season. Manning was awful. Luckily we had KWP down the right side.

I also know for a fact he had a bet placed on Adkins dismissal before it was announced. Not the softly spoken, nice lad persona he's portrayed as.

Did anybody ask what the hell is going on with Lallana? Long term injury or what? All that I've heard was he had "feelings" before the Eastleigh match.

Anyone know of any other clubs experiencing a GLS (Gray Leaf Spot) outbreak? I've done some reading about it. August 2020 was the first time it was recorded on a stadium pitch in the UK. Seems it has plagued stadiums in Germany since 2017 and they've switched to more GLS resistant grass varieties. Sounds like every Groundmans worst nightmare. It's not necessarily a forever problem but it is a very expensive problem that we won't have time to fix this season. Apparently, spores can come in from contaminated fertilizer, equipment or even on the bottom of footwear. Groundmen disinfect equipment and some stadiums even use disinfection mats for footwear before going onto the turf which perhaps explains why they lose their shit when randoms wonder onto the pitch. Once the spores are on the grass, GLS can completely destroy a stadium pitch in 2-3 days.

Interesting to see Moussa Djenepo playing for Antalyaspor.

It seemed, based on today, that BBD and Armstrong were almost playing as wingers and we had nobody in the middle as a focal point. Occassionally, Stephens would leave defense and be the player furthest forward for us. Strange role for him. Whatever we were doing, it wasn't working.

Interesting what this ref is deeming a yellow card offense and what he isn't. I don't recognise him. Does he ref in the EFL?

All those stadium improvements but it doesn't appear the pitch has been returfed. Possibly the worst type of pitch for our style of play. I can see it now. Trying to play tika-taka in our penalty box only for it to bobble over someones foot, gifting a goal to the opposition.
