How does "whit" come in to this? I don't recall people saying we had a Pompey style model when Cortese was with us. Some people back the club regardless when it's obvious the players don't feel we are ambitious now so want to leave at the first opportunity wearas then they felt we were on the up. This contributes to the fact our feel good factor has almost gone. Stop dancing the the tune of whatever the club do and think for yourself

I genuinely believe he would have. The mentality and ambition changed when Cortese went. It was a domino effect from there which started the process of us becoming a serial selling club. Or "showcase" club as Reed calls it. There was a real feeling amongst the players and staff that saints was the place to be at that time (before Cortese left). It was clear the club wanted to flat line at that point rather than press on. I don't buy in to this he fact that this wouldn't have b en sustainable financially either - you have to speculate to accumulate and you don't become a bigger team unless you think like one. He had that ingrained in everyone at the club and was a winner. When you take calculated risks to progress it tends to pay for itself in success in the long term which leads to $$$

In response to things to do - I've not been to watch the cowboys but the stadium is huge! You'd be lucky to get a ticket to a game for less than the $200 mark though. If you want real cowboys the stockyards at Fort Worth is pretty cool The JFK museum and tour is also worth doing For a decent night out head to Uptown or Deep Ellum (depending on what you're in to)

Why do some of our fans insist that our success is down to reed? We have lost all ambition now and seem happy to tread water or go backwards. The guy really isn't a great businessman. Cortese's legacy has now all but faded and the players certainly don't seem as happy as they were in general.

I'd drop him for one of the kids / Stuart Taylor given how bad he is at the moment. Overrated by so many as well.. Pathetic

Superb performance from everyone after our first goal. Bertrand and Rodriguez the stand out players for me. Plus Davis - he needed that after a pretty woeful game against Stoke. Hoijberg was shaky in the first half but much improved in the 2nd. J rod needs a run up front ahead of long IMO. He's got more to his all round game and can hold the ball up to some extend - did that well today and has done OK in the 2 previous games other than missing 2 sitters. Boufal is getting better and better too, other than that dodgy dive and seeming to be upset when taken off (assume we did that because he was booked?) He's certainly got some skill and gives us a different dimension going forward. Was beginning to doubt Puel but he got it spot on today. Up to 7th!

Puel seems tactically inept but certain players simply aren't good enough for us. Redmond and Forster massively overrated. We are incredibly boring to watch. We aren't fluid or dynamic in attack - it's playing in front of their back four and hoping our full back offer an option so they can swing a hopeful ball in to the box. It's so easy to defend against. This is what you get when you sell class players and replace them with mediocre ones. The board have been taking the mickey for too long and expect our fans to settle for it because we are a "showcase club" which in effect is a selling club. We are in the entertainment industry and selling our assets is costing us. You have to think like a big club to become one and that doesn't mean doing what Pompey did. There isn't another club I can think of that sells like we do. The board lack any ambition to go higher than we are, we have got lucky in the last 2 seasons and need to show the ambition required to make us an attractive football club to stay at (I understand we can't keep everyone). It's very frustrating considering the potential we have

It's not just one game / one mistake though is it. Bar Arsenal he's been pretty poor all season. I think he's generally a decent keeper but I'm beginning to have my doubts - giving McCarthy a run (if fit) could give Fraser a kick up the backside

Forster must be nackered after the euros. That's why he's been off the pace this season.. It all makes sense

A friend of mine who claims to be ITK said that fonte to United is already agreed and will happen in January. The same guy told me chambers was off to Arsenal the January before it happened.. I wouldn't actually be that bothered if he went. Yes he's been superb for us but we can improve on him. It's the dressing room and his leadership that we will probably miss the most IMO

Yeah he's always been slightly overrated by many IMO Slow off his line, stays on his line too often, kicking not great, doesn't dominate the area (which he should given his size). His main attribute was his shot stopping and even that hasn't been there this season. I think our defence cover up for a lot of his inabilities. I like him but he isn't 'top 10' premier league standard as a few have stated

I don't think anyone will be happy to see him go. I can't believe the club would let him go either but I would be delighted if he stayed. People have a right to question the club - we pay to watch them and would prefer not to have all our assets stripped EVERY year
